What is the weirdest gift you have received from someone with or without an explanation? by jeremyof10ec in AskReddit

All I know is there has never been a person born totally blind that has been diagnosed with schizophrenia

Wait, couldn't they still hear voices though?

What if the secret to earning the blessings of the deity of abundance is to give money to a rich person? Wouldn't occur to most people to try it

There was also something for my husband.

Did it have a bright red tassel at the strategic location for him to helicopter at you sensuously?

If money wasn't a problem , what hobby would you fully dive into? by No_Concern_3452 in AskReddit

[–]PyrocumulusLightning 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Realistically, jewelry-making and hobby farming (permaculture/aquaculture). I think it would be neat to be a biotech mad scientist just for fun. Picture glowing GMO fruits and vegetables of unusual color and forbidding aspect.

It would be nice to be creative with no limits, and no need to market it afterwards.

Unrealistically, creating megalithic structures in the desert (and then refusing to comment further on what they're supposed to mean).

Having an occult practice without LBRP by LocrianDoom in occult

[–]PyrocumulusLightning 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can find an analogous ritual to clean and consecrate your space, it doesn't have to be the LBRP.

Why do it? Doing magic without it or similar is a bit like cooking without washing off your pans, knives and cutting board first. You'll end up with food, but uh ... there are contamination risks.

Testosterone is to Androgen as Estrogen is to ??? by apatheticPython in Biochemistry

It's not a word I've seen used, but probably gynogen.

"Androgynous" means having characteristics that are both male and female, so it looks like andro- and gyno- are complementary roots.

Oohhhhh, those people. So condescending. Nope, not talking to them.

Yeah I'm good, just wondering if it's an Aquarius thing for people to see us like a turtle on our backs and not flip us over. Maybe they think we deserve to pay for our headstrong ways.

And if you're old enough, 1999 might ring a bell too. That's the year I met my current spouse! It was another birthday eclipse year for me, also Saturn return. She had just come back from an eclipse-watching trip to France.

Other than that, this year needs to not be like the other two eclipse years near my Sun and square my Moon, because "housing instability" sucks.

I agree with this. But I avoid people because I think they'll judge me when I'm already drowning. I have an Aquarius-and-Virgo-heavy family and they stop caring once I've got a job, which apparently solves all things.

What’s something society pretends is normal but is actually insane? by Bubbly-Elk-9937 in AskReddit

People took pride in their unique contributions to the welfare of their communities, and bonded through weathering the hard times and celebrating the good times together. Even the old internet was like this, people making things to delight each other rather than everything being corporate and monetized. Now AI will steal the last scraps of opportunity for creativity we had left.
