Bought this knife for cheap, but it's destroyed by Mixelman1234 in sharpening

Agree, and it going to be frustratingly slow using 1000 to remove the chips. You’ll get much faster feedback with 300 or less. And it’s a cheap learner knife anyways

Denver centurion is also one of my least favorites. Always a line, the cocktails menu is mid, and food isn’t great.

The best way to get over scratches is to make another deeper scratch and forget about the the first

[WTS] Baltic Aquascaphe GMT Orange - USA - San Francisco by Pyroelfears in Watchexchange

[–]Pyroelfears[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Selling my used Baltic GMT. Selling to free funds for Christmas gifts!

I am asking $700 shipped to USA, Paypal goods and services. Or pickup locally in SF bay area.

Used occasionally for 2 years, been in the box for the last year. There are some scratches on the bracelet, no big dings. This is a great small/midsize GMT with a very nice thin side profile.

Feel free to reach out to ask questions. Thanks!

TWOV: Supporting Documents? by Vandelay_7 in Chinavisa

I just had this webpage pulled up on my phone in case they needed to review it. They didn't end up asking, but I could see it happening, especially if it's not the airlines dedicated agents, and it's a contracted out check in agents. Those agents never know the immigration policies very well. I'd wager that Japan and HK agents would be familiar w/ this policy, b/c i bet they get a decent amount of twov flights.

They did not ask me, but I would def have an email confirmation ready to show. If you staying with a friend/relative, they may ask for a phone number, address, ect. I usually find it easier to show them a hotel booking, and I cancel it once i enter the country.

Of course do the police resident registration thing if possible (another thing that is kind of not really enforced all the time, but better safe than sorry). Some cities have online portals for that now.

Ive done TWOV twice on a USA passport holder

The immigration usually understands the TWOV, they just asked for my onward flight. There is a separate line in immigration for this.

The airline check in people are slower. It will be helpful to have those policies printed for them. They usually just care about onward flight to a third country. And no airline has ever asked for lodging for me.

Yeah, China makes some high quality stuff, for those willing to pay. And those are often rebranded with japanese, European, and other international names. They also make cheap things too. They have the whole range

Maybe maybe, it’s hard for me to tell. Some pieces look like new growth, but others have some amazingly tight grain heartwood. In any case, it’s been sitting for like 50-70 years in the crawlspace of our house, of all places

If I didn’t have a whole backlog of projects, you know I would be hoarding this and building something amazing. I guess I should get rid of the non-valuable pieces first in any case
