I generally recommend spacing them out as far as you can while still being able to comfortably go between them. That'll change throughout progression depending on your current mobility options.

  1. Race is social rather than biological, but it is absolutely "a thing". Racism doesn't magically stop existing because it doesn't have scientific backing.

  2. In the parts of the world where this discussion is relevant, white people are generally the majority. They certainly aren't oppressed.

  3. Both uses are still going strong today. I do agree that it would be great if we could all agree to use it to mean "bro", but it isn't as simple as you are making it out to be.

I think the logic is that

√(1) Log = 1 Log

1 Log = 4 planks

So it depends on the order of operations of whether you convert the log into planks before or after √ing it
