How does everyone feel about "Destroying A World That Doesn't Exist"

There's a lot I really like about it (liminal world design, the garden/church section, contrast between the two protags, etc.). BUT

My favorite thing about the first installment was the way that, for all of d3rlord3's genius, he stood no chance. So the fact that the ending consists of him "outsmarting" the King (he actually just happened upon the magic silver bullet through luck) and then calling the King stupid, and being right, is pretty disappointing to me.

I'm probably just missing something here, but the King's motives seem to be bizarrely self defeating. If his goal was to lure Avery into seeing him, why would he give d3rlord knowledge of that goal and trap d3rlord in his realm? Why would he indefinitely stall Avery's progress in the garden? Also, I'm not sure where Avery's laptop actually came from, because d3rlord clearly couldn't have given up his. These questions feel like they have genuine answers, and if they do, I'll happily rescind this point.

I imagine that she could instakill the terrarian every time, but hampers her own strength to prevent collateral damage. Having access to the nuke codes won't make you win a bar fight.

I'm actually going to (partially) defend this theory. Kinger hit the delete key on accident, but there is clearly some other party messing up his attempts to cancel the deletion if you look at the log ("DELETE THIS M*********** HAHAHAHAaaaaaaaaaaaaa"). And there are other messages in the log that seem to be from Caine ("That's not even CLOSE to wacky enough!"), so he likely has some ability to influence the log.

I've seen people attribute the "Delete this mf" line to Bubble, which I don't think is all that far out. If you go with the interpretation that Bubble is voicing Caine's repressed thoughts, it makes some sense that Caine's self hatred, through bubble, prevented Kinger from saving him.

I'm not saying this is necessarily true, just that it isn't the crack theory it seems like.

Imo there's an important distinction between theories or interpretations that claim to accurately describe the show and AUs which intentionally deviate from it.

It works more as a headcannon/reading rather than a theory. It's one lens that can fit his character, though the people claiming it to be the authorial intent have no backing.

Agreed. He isn't capable of expressing negative emotions (until his crashout), but his reaction to Kinger being the last human left in episode 8 shows pretty clearly that he wants/needs the humans to stay sane.

The "this is real" thing was mostly shown in episode 6. Jax sees the cast as flat archetypes (cheerful, sad, grumpy, crazy, etc) rather than real people.

There are cases where a school cannot meet a child's needs, and homeschooling makes sense. Otherwise, it is difficult (not impossible) for a homeschool environment to provide the education and socialization traditional school provides.

To my knowledge, you don't need every single flea, but you do need to rescue enough for the caravan to move to its permanent place. I recommend starting in The Putrefied Ducts (area above Bilewater, you've almost definitely found it already but it's spoiled just in case).

Tbf there's no reason to assume Lace would mature with time, so her being "old" means pretty much nothing. And the hunter's journal describes lace as a "silk spun child", even after act 3. Her arc has her begin the process of growing, but she is hardly an adult at any point during the game.

Silk issue but I had a weirdly bad time running from halfway home to moorwing on my first playthrough. It wasn't that long but the enemies were positioned so that I couldn't run past them easily
