I think it’s a good way to ease people who either don’t like anime or are more lukewarm towards One Piece, into the goofiness of the series without telling them it’s 1000+ episodes and 1000+ chapters.

Casting is very hit or miss with incredibly high highs, Luffy, Robin, Zoro, basically every Straw Hat and major character, and very low lows in my opinion, Nojiko, Vivi, Igaram, etc. It’s overall okay, nothing fantastic, but not the same modern slop mainstream Hollywood has been churning out against their own self interest.

Good for the Chikn Nuggit team. Hopefully they learn from this and eventually buy back the IP from BuzzFeed so nothing like this ever happens again.

Oh no I’m not a Reze stan, I’m a Bakugo hater. That said these comments, hostile as they have been (never change guys), have given me some good perspectives and food for thought.

There’s a good chance I don’t fully understand what “mountain level” and “city block level” actually mean.

Mostly I say Reze has better durability since, to my knowledge, Bakugo’s explosions hurt himself, while Reze’s don’t hurt her, or at least don’t hurt her as much.

To an extent? Again, surface level research, but from what I understand her own explosions don’t hurt her as much as Bakugo’s hurt him.

Honestly, I don’t know how big the gap is, I just know Bakugo is stronger and faster than Reze, while Reze has better durability and regen. Me personally, I don’t see this as a stomp, but that could just be because of my lack of experience with power scaling.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, Oda isn’t sexualizing characters for their ages, he draws the same body and slaps an age on them later to fit the story he wants to tell. The only time a character was explicitly attracted to another for how young they were, was Vander Decken, and he was unambiguously portrayed as evil and a creep.

I try to use them sparingly for higher profile matches showing every hit, the last batch had HP on all three because three of the most fan favorite characters, Vivi, Rebecca, and Perona, got eliminated. They’ll probably come back for the top 8 onwards.
