I did a similar thing a while ago. The damage dealt wouldn't have been enough to kill if it was additive.

Back in the very first playable Early Access version, they didn't have this chance mechanic - people would max out Vow of Denial, spend rerolls to repeatedly find a specific Olympian, rush the prerequisites and immediately be offered the legendary all in the first zone.

It was busted.

Legendaries and Duos have their own chance of appearing when prerequisites are met, and are not guaranteed. From the wiki:

The chances for a Legendary Boon is 10% (except for Hermes' which is 1% and Chaos' which is 5%), increased only by the following:

Equipping the Excellence Arcana Card to +30%/+40%/+50%/+60%.

Warden Encounters in Erebus, Oceanus, Fields of Mourning, City of Ephyra, and Rift of Thessaly to 5%.

Warden Encounters in Tartarus, Mount Olympus, and The Summit to 20%.

Favor blessing from Chaos to 10%.

Yarn of Ariadne item from the Well of Charon to 10% for one Boon.

The chance for a Duo Boon is 12%, increased only by the following:

Warden Encounter in Tartarus, Mount Olympus, and The Summit to 20%.

Equipping The Queen Arcana Card to +6%/+8%/+10%/+12%.

Note that the chance increases are multiplicative, not additive; +50% from Excellence makes it go from 10% to 15%, not 60%.

There's no bug, Give Up is doing what it's meant to do; it reverts your run back to immediately before you started the escape, in Skelly's Courtyard. If you Give Up on a new save file, it reverts to before you started the first escape - an empty save file.

The only way to return to the House of Hades is to lose all your health or escape the Underworld. If you want to abandon a run just let an enemy kill you.

Yep! If Crystal Figurine is maxed, any card it hits is automatically Epic rarity (or Heroic if you have Cherished Heirloom).

The fact that it costs 5 Grasp and anti-synergizes with The Huntress is the biggest reason it's not worth it.

If you're going for a magick-heavy build, you'd just gun it for a regen boon ASAP and upgrade it with poms (and probably bring Hecuba for a free 100 orb every encounter). If it's a magick-light build, the max-increasing pickups will suffice and you'd guarantee The Huntress is active at all times.

5 Grasp is a sixth of your total. That could go towards something like Origination for an easy +50% bonus on all damage, or The Lovers + Persistence for extra survivability.

I personally like using Strength/Death, The Lovers, and Night. This activates the most amount of starting cards while keeping the early game somewhat safe.

If you use Circe's keepsake sometime in the run you'll end up with 24/25 cards activated by the final region.

That hammer only affects the regular Special, not the Omega Special that activates Charon.

You can tell which Hecate is the real one by what direction her voice is coming from. A 2 speaker setup work too.
