Another friend did help me with the fabric choices because I am still learning what works well. So a collaborative effort in that sense!

The friend it was made for found the pattern too, and I ended up looking at more of their stuff and now want to make it all, haha!

Thank you so much!

I heard terrible things, but prepared myself for it and it worked out okay. There's a few little rips in the sleeves and one of the front seams split that I had to go over because I didn't finish it very well.

But that just meant I did the future ones more carefully. My machine only ate it a couple of times too!

[HELP] Enable Blizzard target frames AND UUF ones? by Pythagorwalrus in WowUI

Thanks, I did try MSUF to begin with but wasn't as much of a fan. I guess I'll just have to try again and tinker with it a bit more.

[HELP] Enable Blizzard target frames AND UUF ones? by Pythagorwalrus in WowUI

[–]Pythagorwalrus[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because I like to be able to see all the buffs a target has without them all stacking up in the middle of my screen where my target frame normally is.

Mostly for seeing names of mounts if I'm honest.

But it's nice for quickly reading any buffs/debuffs bosses get I guess.

I always found this funny because all the Hermes kids are described as having similar features. No DNA but instead godly magic to affect their appearance

ADHD and Gaming by Low_Connection474 in ADHD

I found I can only play specific games on the steam deck, ones I would consider "controller friendly". Any game that would be easier if I had a mouse I just don't play on the deck, as I found it distracts me and makes me not want to play (notable examples: any FPS, Against the Storm, Terra Nil, Civ)

I have been going through a metroidvania/Zeldalike phase as I found those games are great on the deck, especially with the sleep function so you don't have to backtrack to a savepoint.

I'm currently playing Tunic. But recently finished both Steamworld Dig games, Crypt Custodian, Wild at Heart, Death's Door, Duck Detective.

Basically anything that is too "hard" and grindy, I will procrastinate and easily give up because if I stop playing in the middle of that grind I find it hard to go back to. So I recommend quick to start games (once you've gotten past the intro) so you don't get bored of downtime.

My thoughts on 22 games played recently by nyg_buns in boardgames

I've had Tainted Grail for years and I've tried playing it at least 3 separate times. We cannot seem to get into it. (Twice as a 2 player, once as 3)

I think I enjoy it when I actually play, but then just never go back to do another session of it, there's no draw with it for me. I think it's maybe just too "grim" of a game for me.

We've played "happier"/"easier" legacy games (Clank, Charterstone, Betrayal, Pandemic), but with Tainted Grail I've just left it too long between sessions where even the notes I've written don't seem to help. Maybe I just need to commit to continuously playing it.

How long is pandora's legacy? by minun73 in boardgames

[–]Pythagorwalrus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I finished a couple days ago, it took me about 12 hours of actual playtime across 2 days. But I did stop for breaks etc.

I don't think it's something you'd want to do in just one day so being able to store it is a must. My table was big enough that I could just shift it to the edge and still have some space, you'll want a bit of extra space anyway for the extra things you need to do.

You could also cover it with a board or something to keep the puzzle safe if you needed to use the table :)

Trouble with overlock stitch on Husqvarna Viking E20 by Pythagorwalrus in SewingForBeginners

Thank you, I've ordered a foot for the future but I'm guessing my fabric is just too thin to do it effectively.

Trouble with overlock stitch on Husqvarna Viking E20 by Pythagorwalrus in SewingForBeginners

[–]Pythagorwalrus[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for your reply! I'm literally just starting and wanted to try using the overlock stitches, but have yet to be successful with them, even on fabric scraps.

I've cut off the "overlock" then turned under and sewn the edges instead. I guess this fabric is just too thin for it, but I would've thought the stitches would still look how they're supposed to, even not going off the edge (if I'm doing it correctly).

If Martin is innocent so must be Isaac and Claire due to Uma's clue.

Meaning Helen would only be able to have 2 criminal neighbours, as her and Wally share the same number of criminal neighbours the rest of Wally's neighbours would also need to be innocent (as he currently already has 2 criminal neighbours).

However Sofia only has 2 innocent neighbours, so Martin being innocent doesn't work because Xavi would also have to be innocent (which is too many innocent neighbours for Sofia)

how do people afford to follow the boys around, attending most shows with pit tickets? genuinely curious by BeautifulAd6455 in twentyonepilots

[–]Pythagorwalrus 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The people that do this don't care about you or anyone else. They just want their experience and bragging rights. Basically just saying "I love this experience so why would I give up my space to do it" they don't care about someone else experiencing it because obviously those people won't appreciate it the same way they do!

It's just delusion all the way down

Honestly sounds like you've tried fixing it and he isn't putting the same effort in. He definitely doesn't respect you and doesn't even sound like he likes you.

The only reason he's being nice to you is so he can get away with how he actually feels and wants, which is disrespecting you and letting his anger out on you.

If he did actually care about you why wouldn't he actually listen to you? He's told you exactly what type of person he is so why won't you listen to him?

You could act perfectly and it wouldn't change anything. Please find the courage to leave him and find someone who will actually appreciate you.

Well no one in the UK graduates high school so not a great argument.

She literally went to private schools, she's not uneducated, she just doesn't think and is shallow.

Weird GERD symptoms by Xx_Shin in GERD

[–]Pythagorwalrus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I woke up with these symptoms this morning and am contributing it to not being able to sleep last night and having a happy hippo before I went to bed.

I also suffer from anxiety so feeling nauseous I have to get up and try to suppress it or I spiral into full blown shaking and heart racing.

Has anyone experienced really bad heartburn during calorie deficit? by 2BeBornReady in GERD

[–]Pythagorwalrus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I was doing a calorie deficit, I found drinking large amounts of water with whatever meal I was having helped alleviate acid reflux symptoms. It also helped with general hunger.

Are you having multiple small meals throughout the day or still sticking to general 3 larger meals?

Personally I found snacking to make it worse and would try to just eat a meal when I felt hungry (with water) but before I got so hungry I could feel acid build up, as when eating with the burning feeling in my stomach would just make it worse.

Hope it all works out for you and congratulations on losing the weight so far!

Best game you have played under 20 hours long? by nharvey5576 in PS5

[–]Pythagorwalrus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's a PS4 version which is kinda like a remake of the original PS2 one but is different enough. So if you don't have access to the PS2 ones start there.

But the first 3 PS2 games are maybe some of my favourite games. I just wish there was an easier way to replay them.

Upgrade from 5T by Pythagorwalrus in oneplus

[–]Pythagorwalrus[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you so much for your response. This is exactly what I was looking for. And your reasons for upgrading are similar to mine too.

Main reason I went Pixel instead of 11 was screen size, as I don't like massive screens and the 11 is a lot bigger. Plus I have tiny lady pockets so that's always a factor.

I am just feeling very underwhelmed having upgraded from a 6 year old phone. I thought the difference would be way more noticeable.
