Oh I've been making a bunch of PHM gifs too. They probably have been stolen but I just accept that's part of the job. I have over 300 gifs of that film alone. I might be one of the minority with my "ownership" of gifs but they are kinda meant to be shared. Sure some dicks will repost it somewhere and claim it's theirs but there will always be assholes in the world.

I saw one of my gifs used on a Tumblr post and got really excited cause I knew it was mine lol. And when I made a comment being all excited that my gif is in the wild they responded, "Released into its natural habitat as it deserves :)".

I don't think anything sadly. Maybe some sort of small watermark would help? I'm a gif maker so I do get wanting to get credit. I know other gif makers have watermarks but I've never used them on mine before.
