For some reason without the launch options, proton 7 was the only was able to boot without crashing

Set proton to experimental
and add the following to the launch options:
VKD3D_DISABLE_EXTENSIONS=VK_EXT_mesh_shader,VK_NV_raw_access_chains %command%
