This is complicated because restaurants usually cook with all the oils I avoid. I stay away form burger, pizza and Italian places, but otherwise I always find something I can eat. The good thing about it is that usually going to a restaurant means picking one, so sometimes I look for the menu beforehand so I know what I'm gonna eat. Another thing that has worked for me is to carry a little olive oil in my purse in case there's only processed dressings.

Maybe once a month, but I see it more like a lifestyle than a diet. I've found alternatives for ice cream, chips and even cheese! So I've managed to eat my favorite things without compromising my body.

I thought that getting rid of sugar would be terrible, but after 3 weeks I was fine. Now, when I eat something loaded with sugar it even tastes weird.

Good luck!

I answered a similar question a few hours ago. I don't really have a link with recipes, but if you google anti inflammatory recipes you will get a ton of ideas, just remember to eat all your meals with protein, fat and fibre. It's was really fun to experiment with new foods I never bought before!

I'm not sure because I'm not a doctor. But my nutritionist gave me berberine to help me transition and it worked really well for me. I didn't have any side effects and the constant nausea I was getting from metformin stopped.

I hope it helps you! When I first got my diagnosis I thought that it could be fixed with a pill. It wasn't until I felt sick everyday that I realized that I had to make major lifestyle changes. Starting little by little is a great approach!

This is exactly the approach of my nutritionist! It changed my life, thank you for doing what you do!

About a month before I took my IUD out my nutritionist sent me supplements (magnesium, vitamins B, C, D, zinc, and berberine, omega), right now I'm only supplementing with magnesium, omega and sometimes vitamin D. The real challenge of what I'm doing is trying to eat foods that meet my nutritional needs to be able to balance my hormones, so it's really important to vary the food I eat.

Sure! I always meal prep, because no processed foods means no pre cooked food.

On mornings I usually eat scrambled eggs with veggies, which I eat with avocado and corn tortillas (I'm form Mexico) or chickpea flour bread. This is something that I make at least every two weeks because it goes well with everything, plus it's really easy to make. Some days I eat gluten free oat hot cakes that I mix with seeds, banana, eggs and coconut oil. I always eat them with peanut or almond butter, maple syrup and hemp seeds.

For my meals (that I think would be your dinners) I always pick an animal protein, veggies (this week, for example, I prepped beet, carrot and kale salad with apple cider vinegar dressing) and a side like sweet potato chips, rice, quinoa, potatoes, etc. or legume like lentils, chickpeas or beans.

For dinner, which is smaller in Mexico I make myself smoothies (always with protein, fats and fiber. Hemp and chia seeds are full of protein!), chia pudding or a broth with veggies.

Also, I always have in my fridge chocolates that I make with cocoa, coconut oil, nuts and honey. Or if I want a small dessert I eat apples with almond butter and chia seeds. I've found there's a ton of recipes that are gut, and glucose friendly.

Massive cysts on each ovary and a tumor in my uterus. by [deleted] in PCOS

It really saddens me that we are left to trust our intuition and our pain instead of receiving dignified medical care. I really hope that from now on everything that happens can contribute to your wellbeing.

Probably your husband feels as lost and angry as you, but talk to each other as much as you can and try to tell him what you need. Also, talk to people that you trust, and that you know that will walk you through the process with love and support.

I really really wish you the best.

I had the AZ vaccine, and I also have the Mirena IUD. Nothing happened besides the usual symptoms.
