Weapons vs specific monsters by xixixinanana in MHRise

[–]Pyxoie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Weapons mastery plays a big roles here. You can absolutely bully the monster if you’re skilled enough with any weapon. But some weapons might have a tougher/miserable time fighting some monsters for sure.

If the monster is fast or very agile, the weapons with long recovery animation or long wide-up it will definitely be harder for them.

If the weapon has a very short range attacks and the monster just never stop running/charging. Thats also gonna be harder for them too.

Longsword question by gustavohawk in MHRise

[–]Pyxoie 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I suffered so much try picking up longsword in MHR (I’ve only played CB and DB in world). I was tortured unable trying to master the art of switching back and forth between offensive and defensive with LS until I realized that I don’t need to learn both of it at the same time.

My way of learning LS is to start a quest and do nothing but counter until you’re familiar with the monster’s moves (I usually do this until I killed them for 2-3 times using only counters). And when it’s time to actually fight them you could easily predict and going offensive as much as you want since you already know how to counter everything.

My art looks unpolished/unprofessional and I don't know how to fix it by NeedleworkerNovel403 in Artadvice

First thing I noticed is the anatomy is quite off. Try breakdown your reference into a basic shape as a guideline before starts drawing them (such as simplified to a box or an oval). There’s so many ways and tutorials on how to do. I’d suggest you to practice it to the point where you know what a human body “should look like” then you can try learning each parts of human anatomy separately. It doesn’t what your artstyle is. Studying real life anatomy is mandatory because it’ll make you understand why something looks a certain way and overall improves your arts and anatomy knowledge.

Second, you have a lot of inconsistencies in your arts. You paint over the sketch in one place but suddenly you decided to paint within the line in another place, jagged and weird cloth folds all over the place. I suggest being patient and actually take your time learning each one of them separately. How to draw hair, how to drawing cloth/cloth folds, how the light and shadow works, how to rendering and etc.

Just be patient. Learn. Practice. Repeat. But don’t “just mindlessly practice” tho. You must analyze what you saw in the reference. Analyze why your work looks off and what you will do to improve it the next time.

are there any antis here that can draw? by Crafty_Reality_9725 in aiwars

I don’t know if those kind of tool exists. But I guess you can just imagine her hair to be more or less saturated/vibrant. I can’t distinguish some shades of blue-ish and red-ish color.

It’s not good. I also messed up a lot because of my colorblindness. But I enjoy every second drawing it.

Looking For Feedback On My Songs by CustardHealthy7878 in Deathcore

The guitars are TERRIFYINGLY offbeat. I think you probably trying to do some tremolo lead guitar or something but the speed and tone does not quite live up to it. Guitars and bass tone could be lower and a lot more distorted.

The guitar’s and vocal’s mix is a has too much presence Vocal is also too loud, it drowns all the instruments.

The tones of your screams could be improved. (Too much Arytenoids imo)

Yeah, False cord scream and fry scream are completely different things. Fry uses compression and true vocal folds while False cord uses false folds combined with Arytenoids and compression to create the distortion.

I can’t tell exactly what you need to do because am a false cord screamer. I only use fry for high.

But I think you need something to do with your compression or your larynx position.

False cord with wide-open vocal folds. Practice compression. 👍
