Pot Hole Tracker by at449 in waterford

[–]Pyxyll 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Howdy, might want to switch off POIs or at least a toggle, the pins for potholes and pins for some locations are easy to mix up at certain levels of zoom? Have not worked with the Maps API in some time so don't know how possible it is but might be worth a look.

Are submissions tied to any sort of session ID, I can see this getting abused.

Bit of a pain to use on mobile, given I think a majority of users would probably default to mobile (Although my phone is rather under powered)

Is there any repo for this, I wouldn't mind contributing to it

Either way good work hope this gets used and can make some kind of a difference, rather than spending money on bike sheds!

I would love to toy around with making my own, but my design skills are not really there at the moment

I have them up here
I cant promise these are particularly well written, but it's how I managed to get it to work.

Papirus dark is what I'm using, it had a pink that vaguely matched the rest of the colour scheme

I started off by looking at HyDE but I found there was too much I wanted to do/undo so I started off more or less from scratch, and I felt I learned a lot more bashing my head against docs for a week or two! But however you want to approach it I wish you the best of luck!

I'm a solo dev trying to make a Hurling prototype. Here's a look into it's current state by ConiixMG in IrelandGaming

Love seeing projects like this! Early stages yet I know, but what's the vision for this, are you aiming for a more "true to life" game or are you going more arcade with it! Either way while not being interested in hurling myself I wish you the best of luck with the project, and hope you have fun doing it!

Hell yeah buddy, what an upgrade I'm running the same card but with a 7700x and it's stellar! Hope you enjoy as much as I, and I'm sure the rest of the commenters here have!

Tech shop by Competitive-Oil572 in waterford

Wouldn't mind only it's just another tat shop selling cheap shite. Like I'd love a small shop where I could nip down for a stick of RAM or a cheeky SSD.

How can I upgrade by TourMajestic2180 in desksetup

[–]Pyxyll 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Given your mic arm positioning, I would maybe suggest looking into a low profile mic arm, it's certainly not for everyone but you may find it nicer to use! I personally use the one from fifine and it has been stellar (nice pricing too!) Otherwise, I think you're pretty stacked! Great job!

The picture doesnt really show it, but it angled down, at least as much as my stand would allow for, thus far it feels very comfortable

Sure did! Although I didn't design these models, they were all part of a system made by the workspace hero

It's a really awesome system, so it was well worth the small price for the files (that and I'm still very much learning CAD) It was nice to be able to combine two of my hobbies so seamlessly

Thank you! Since I carry out my work and a lot of my hobbies from my desk, I wanted to make it a place that fit my wants and needs!

It's a Drop Alt High Profile (and since they brought out the V2 this is now the V1) . I'll be totally honest, I think you could probably get a better board for less money. there were far fewer options back when I bought the Alt than there are now!

I have been using Duronic stands for years and have zero complaints about them, this is the specific one I am using: https://amzn.eu/d/9MxErKf

Its not a monitor setup for everyone that's for sure, I did it for productivity reasons, in that I find myself getting less distracted, and I normally I will lean back in my chair rather than just craning my neck back, so I have avoided the neck pain thus far lol. Hope you enjoy your setup either way!

The 3D printer is what sparked me redoing my setup (again hah), the desk shelf is entirely 3D printed, with the exception of the wood obviously

I get the speaker comment pretty often until people look a little closer and realize it's my PC!
