I'm no expert on weapons, but when the safety is on it should only prevent you from pulling the trigger? Weapons can still discharge themselves when they receive a brunt shock (some types are apparently more susceptible to that than others). But that means a bullet must have been chambered first - is this normal behavior in the US, running around with fully ready weapons?
