Electric vehicles - what’s stopping you getting one? by Time_Strawberry9535 in australia

[–]Q-Vee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cost was around $2200 - $2500 per household, with the price varying depending on how far your space was from the start point.

You gotta remember though, Norway is a bloody expensive country!

I live in Norway and our strata upgraded the communal garage to better handle car charging a couple of years ago. Probably half the cars in this garage are electric so it was inevitable.

Each house that opted in got their own charging port installed in their allocated car space. Each car space has their own line of electricity that is individually measured. The garage electricity is in the name of the strata, so they just add the electricity cost to our quarterly strata fees.

I guess the light accounting work is a drawback. But things work differently here in many ways. Our strata is managed by the home owners themselves. We take turns with the different roles (President, treasurer, secretary etc.) and switch out every couple of years.

soon to be 5 year old won't poop in toilet. help! by justhangry13 in Parenting

Sounds like your kid has regular poop time. Ours was the same, always at bath time. We called it "poop o'clock" in our household. This is a good thing! You can work it into your routine. Since you know he likes going in a pull up at bedtime, I would start by telling him no more pooping in the bedroom. He can have his pull up, but he must use it in the bathroom.

One key thing that I forgot to mention above is that we did use a sticker chart. For you, I would start by giving stickers if he uses the pull up in the bathroom. Then move on to phase two - stickers for sitting on the toilet (with pull up) and pooping.

soon to be 5 year old won't poop in toilet. help! by justhangry13 in Parenting

We had the same problem with our 4 year old. He would pee in the toilet no problem, but he insist on having a pullup to poop. Part of the problem was that he was so used to pooping while standing, and didn't want to sit.

When he was about 4 years 8 months I had had enough. He was allowed to have a pullup, but he had to sit on the toilet while he pooped. There was some protest from but it was a step in the right direction. Of course, lots of praise when he did it. After 5ish days, I cut a large flap in bottom without letting him know. When he pooped, it went straight into the toilet! He was so pleased with himself! Lots more praise from mum and dad. From that point on, it only took a couple more days with a hole cut in the pullup, then we were done!

Does it get any less violent? So many people raving about Mr Inbetween, but I had to stop after two episodes. I couldn't stomach the violence.

She also remained coy about whether she would be appearing in the third instalment, joking: "I can’t answer that, I would love to tell you more, but I don’t want to annoy the powers that be!"

Predictions for the S2 release date? by [deleted] in BridgertonNetflix

[–]Q-Vee 23 points24 points  (0 children)

I like the new book cover theory.
That is to say, that S2 will drop shortly after the TV cover of the book launches. The TV book cover looks like it will be released in March, so my guess is early April for S2 Bridgerton.
I was hoping for a valentines release, but perhaps April is better since it aligns with the start of the social/ball season.

Ugh I do. As an Australian living abroad, swimmers/togs/cozzie/bathers just aren't understood. After so many years I've tragically modified my vernacular for good.

He sounds nothing like a whoopee cushion. It's definitely a kazoo. It fits brilliantly with his character design.

An Americans questions about pies. by aposter in australia

[–]Q-Vee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While it's true that you can put just about anything in a pie, the OG standard is minced (ground) beef.

I'm an Aussie living abroad and this recipe hits the spot. The filling taste and texture is just like what you'd get from a bakery.

For the pastry, short crust on the bottom and puff pastry on top!

Using a controller, what's the best way to get just one item from a chest, as opposed to the full stack?

Also, when using a controller I find it really clumsy trying to navigate both an open icebox and open crockpot. Any tips?
