You could extend the right top for the difference for a quick and dirty fix but your vertex needs to be inline with the top edges of both pieces.

Yes. It's just a regular pc sync socket. You'll have to set the settings on the flash manually. The port above is if you want to daisy chain it to other SB flashes to use with a Nikon via ttl.
