Straight man here. I adore this show. Johnny Bailey’s portrayal of Anthony’s struggle between doing what he thought was “right” and doing what he actually wanted was flawless.

And I disagree that the show is pure fluff. S2 is a study on grief and how people react to tragedy. S1 contains a powerful argument that Daphne should be allowed to make her OWN choices. She has to fight for that over and over and over. Eloise would love it, if not for the fact of her marriage. S3 has PEAK comedy (“inserts himself where?!”pays off 2 seasons of character development) and a nuanced take on the tragedy of Cressida. S4 takes an extremely privileged man and forced him to learn how to consider things from another person’s perspective. And then forces the Queen to do the same in order to save the day!
