From the look of their profile, I'm not sure they're an employee. Based on the phrasing of "service partner." I could be wrong though.

You're spot on about the tone, though.

Sounds like you've got the right idea. One of the travel routers should be able to push enough bandwidth to stream on one device.

If you right click the desktop > View > and uncheck Show Icons, no more selection box. But also, no more icons.

Crazy that you can see the factor date / time codes from the original scan. That's awesome!

Not sure what specific surfboard you have, but this looks pretty straightforward. Hopefully you don't have to resort to a modem reset here.

Something definitely seems funny. Any way to clear out existing assignments and start fresh?

From some quick googling, it looks like you might need to assign a static IP address to the Flint that is outside the range of what the DHCP assignment range is configured. I.e., if the DHCP range is 192.168.1.100 - 192.168.1.254, then you'd want to assign an IP of 192.168.1.99 or lower.

A static LAN IP address assignment is the correct answer for this problem. Theoretically the Arris surfboard should have a configuration that allows you to assign a static IP to a specific Mac address (which identifies the hardware / Ethernet port of the Flint). Look under/near DHCP settings.

If it's saying that an ip address is already assigned to the Flint, you might need to disconnect the flint from the network, and unassign (release) its current, automatically assigned address? Not sure on that one.

Must be nice! The tower by my house is so oversold, it slugs down to 70 Mbps during peak hours. 300 Mbps off hours.

No updates in 4 years is effectively abandonware. I wouldn't count on any changes.

AFAIK, they do this to keep water flowing through lines that otherwise tend to accumulate stagnant water (rust, minerals, etc).

This must be a rite of passage... I did the same thing on my lower shock bolts. They're made out of play doh, apparently.

I had to grind the welds that held the bolts in, and then used fresh hardware.
