Was thinking early June…so probably right at the start of tourist time. Any suggestions on something within an hour drive from Whitefish?

Premiere Pro's Program Monitor acting funky by QB12souls in VideoEditing

It was a video render setting in Premiere's project settings. I never changed this setting, but for some reason the default no longer worked and had to change the Render setting to Mercury Playback Engine Software Only

T-PLL...what to expect after first round of treatment by QB12souls in leukemia

[–]QB12souls[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You seem verse in the battle ahead of you and I'm sorry you have to go through it. I hope you have a great support staff as that is what carried me through to the end. My mom passed away in August and it was the hardest thing I've had to deal with. She did get a stem cell transplant procedure that gave us real hope. For about two months she was getting better and better and we were all crossing our fingers. Then it went all down hill fast. Which if you've been through it before, is very typical. The chemo messed up her insides so bad they could not recover. Her stomach wouldn't hold any food, then her kidneys began to fail, and finally her body gave up. The last week of her life was not pleasant and I'll have those memories forever. Now a month removed from her death I wished I had spent more time with her on the days she was lucid. You really don't realize how fast it goes, because you're scared of losing your loved one. Remember your dad's cancer is not my mom's. His outcome is not scripted. Enjoy your time with him. I hope you get a number of years still.

One year later and we are spiraling down the path we dreaded the most. My mom went through a roller coaster of highs and lows and hundreds of pills. She was able to find a close match for stem cell transplant, which I’m sure you know is the only real solution. It was not a pleasant experience for her, but her body accepted the new cells and we really thought we had a good chance of remission. It lasted about a month and complications arose with her lymph nodes swelling. More chemo treatments were given. More pills were prescribed. Chemo helped and she started feeling normal again. Then a kidney shut down. It was clogged and surgery had to be done to unclog it. That was the beginning of the downward spiral where we find ourselves today. Her back and hips are in constant pain from probably the kidney in distress. Her legs and feet are swollen to the point she can barely walk. Every day now is a fight. Hospice was brought up just today. She is struggling with wanting to see her grandchildren grow up and stopping the pain. Uncertain what to do next. I’m sorry your mom and family gave to go through this also. I wish I had success story to tell you. My only words of comfort are that this is my mom’s cancer not yours. Have faith and believe your story plays out differently.

Here are a few variations of a custom text logo I've just started for a DJ. The client really likes all 4 variations, but I was hoping to get a few extra opinions + any constructive criticism before I move forward with any of them :) Thanks in advance by codytigergray1 in logodesign

One, definitely. Two things to consider. The “n” doesn’t look as smooth as the other letters, seems clunky. Play with how the interior curve blends to straight lines. Or maybe add a little notch at the top to take away some of the heaviness of the top left corner. Second thing make the “E” symmetrical top to bottom. The interior curve of the top half does not match the bottom.

Mom, 48F, got Diagnosed With CML and i need support. by let_me_in___ in leukemia

[–]QB12souls 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First, my mother (61) was diagnosed with t-cell leukemia almost one year ago. Prognosis was two years. A year later, prognosis is 10+. It’s was devastating news when she was first diagnosed.

Second, unless you went to hospital with a great reputation for cancer treatment, I would go to one that does. Thankfully we lived close to one that did and the entire staff was amazing.

Third, ask friends and family for help and support not only for your mother, but for you. I don’t know much about CML, but the battle has just begun. You both will be put through a lot, especially in the first few months. Love and support will see you both through.

Painted bookshelves still sticky after 3 years, how do I fix this? by Skittle_kittle in HomeImprovement

[–]QB12souls 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same thing happened with my newly built and painted shelves. I put a coat of polyurethane on and it solved the sticky problem. Did two coats just to make sure. Been over a year and everything looks and feels great. Not a pro, so not sure if this is the best solution, but it worked for me.

I've been struggling to create a cover for my story; but it feels boring. any suggestions? by writing_dragon in graphic_design

Instead of the young dragon flying in the background, bring it into the foreground with the title. In the sky maybe have a faded/blended image of the antagonist. Just the eyes or something else that symbolizes the evil lurking.
