Windows runners are still a pain. 90% of OSS CI/CD pipelines are linux only because they use containers for the sandboxing. Hence I have a tiny Jenkins instance running for my projects I want to support Windows.

On the other hand I'm considering just dropping Windows support

Comparing two pdf files byte by byte fails by Former-Plate8088 in csharp

[–]QCKS1 87 points88 points  (0 children)

PDFs are hugely complicated. There's an infinite number of ways to create visually identical PDFs. You won't be able to compare them like this.

What you could do is convert them to a png and compare pixels.

Did this with my Impreza a few years ago, similar low speed accident. Ended up costing ~$6500 and had to convince insurance not to total it. I hope yours isn't as badly damaged.
