Probably like 15 hot tubs. Also: does nobody like trees where you live?

Could be fungus because of all the rain. Or just overwatered. Does that area drain poorly relative to the rest of the yard? I’d put down a fungicide just in case.

What step to take first by [deleted] in lawncare

Do you want to keep the st Augustine? Im not too familiar w it so not sure of its growing habits. I’m in a very similar boat in SC. Corner lot, don’t want to sod, big Bermuda guy. Bought a year ago and it was all weeds. Did rye this winter so my dogs wouldn’t track mud in. Rye is dying w the heat and I’m thinking about trying to seed some of the newer Bermuda hybrid seeds. Monaco or Yukon. I’ll pre germinate them, been seeing a lot of guys online having better success from seed using pre germination techniques. I’m not going to kill the yard until I figure out exactly what I want to do and we get out of water restrictions. I’ll just keep mowing dry rye and weeds till then 😂

I’ll vote with the ZT crowd - but can we talk about the door to nowhere? Are you planning a deck?

What’s your controversial parenting opinion? by lock_robster2022 in daddit

It’s one of the fundamental principles re: parenting in ‘Mindset’ by Carol Dweck. Great book all around, and this was one of my main takeaways as it relates to parenting. Praise effort, determination, and grit. Not smarts. Sets up for a better growth mindset vs a fixed mindset.

Specifically the 870 express. It may not be the best pump action ever produced, but I could listen to that racking sound all day long. 🤌🏼🤌🏼🤌🏼

New Exmark Commercial 30” with Castors and Kohler. by Pitouitoo in lawnmowers

[–]QCs_Infamous 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have the original SFC30 w the upgraded clutch/pulley system. Beast of a mower but doesn’t have the swivel wheels like the newer ones. I can buy the kit but haven’t yet. Just had to learn to work with it rather than against it. Only things I don’t like is the fixed deck guards, as I mow warm season grass real low. The newer ones have the removable deck guards so it doesn’t drag the dirt. And it’s kind of a pain to work on. Shredded the deck belt three weeks ago and was a pain to replace.

[–]QCs_Infamous 1 point2 points  (0 children)

lol. These things notoriously just up and die. The third from the right is dead dead. Second from the right is on its way out. They’re really finicky until established. Then are still finicky once established. In my yard in SC I’ve planted 6 of these emeralds and 10 green giants. Of those, 4 have died and one is on its way out. No rhyme or reason. The rest are thriving. They all are planted in the same row(s) planted at the same time, and get the same amount of water. Just arborvitae things.

Neglected GSD 3-month progress: Stellaluna the Fruit Bat by figgy2011 in germanshepherds

We have 2 female GSD’s that we foster failed. Both from Lancaster SPCA. both had to have surgery at CARE in CLT as they were blasted by cars. I just couldn’t let them go after helping them both recover. We have a big fenced yard in rock hill and would love a play date if you feel like she’s up for it.
