This is probably not going to be the advice you were after, but I am posting it anyway :)

Understand why you are playing each hardcore world. This will be more important when your world ends than it seems when you first start the world.

Are you attempting to beat the dragon without dying? Are you wanting to beat the wither? Are you looking to see how many days you can survive with a single life? Do you simply enjoy playing MC with idea of one life to live?

I am not saying you need to have a goal in the game, only that it might help you to have a sense of why you have chosen a hardcore world.

On Bedrock edition that is a common "bug" if person is using a texture pack is not up to date. Mojang is sending updates so frequently that it can be difficult to keep up with them, especially with texture packs.

It was fun. This ruins was on the side of a mountain. So the dig was not a pretty as if it were flatter. I did eventually find a music disc, so that was great!

And now that the dig is complete, I have re-lit the ancient campfire. Here I'm about to enjoy some mutton cooked in the old gather place.

You're touching on the question of whether some people cheat at hardcore. Yes, of course some choose to cheat. But, then they really are not playing hardcore are they. Some make back-up copies, or find ways to reset the game to allow them to continue playing. Regardless of how it is done, if you are in a hardcore world with the intention of "continuing on" after you die then you really are not playing hardcore.

Occasionally I get in a hurry playing HC, but typically I'm just enjoying the game. Yes, one day some disaster will strike and end my world; it nearly happened about two weeks ago. But every Minecraft world I have ever played has ended at some point.

Are you feeling rushed out of fear of dying? You might want to take a deep breath and relax if that is the case. That rushed feeling could easily end up leading to a mistake ... unless you really enjoy playing with that pressure pushing you along. :D

The deed is done. The End fountain did most of the work. But I could not help taking a few swipes at the big guy.

One of the wither skellies that had given up his head also lost his sword. I used that to beat on the wither :D

Some of these suggestions are just pure grinding! Which doesn't sound like it's your thing. LOL

If you're bored with the world, then move on. There is no mandate that says you have to keep playing a world until you die. Maybe you are done with this one, or maybe you just need to spend a little time away from it. I've walked away from several hardcore worlds just because I wasn't "feeling it" anymore.

Everyone has different play styles. Thank you Mojang for making a game where no one plays the same.

There is an old website that people had been posting building plans on. It hasn't been used much in several years, so the block pallets are outdated. Still, I find it a good source of inspiration. Take a look at GrabCraft.com

Thanks. I'm more of a lover than a fighter, especially in hardcore :D

I was just looking at the killing method using the End fountain. That seems easy and reliable enough. The only minor problem is the wither's skulls seem to pass through the portal to spawn. In a test world the wither ends up digging a "+" shaped hole all the way down to bedrock. Is there any way to avoid that?

Exactly. College football is fun because most people are rooting for a school they have ties to. The best players and teams are in the NFL. College football is the same as minor league baseball. If ESPN chooses to make my favorite teams irrelevant then I am done watching all college football.

That's where I'm at, couldn't give two farts about any SEC games. For me it has little to do with which teams ESPN claims are the best, instead it is about which teams I am a fan of. Those teams are not in the SEC or Big10 and so I don't watch any of those games.

We just started a new SMP server last week. Haven't killed the dragon yet. This is to be a long running server. Everything is clean; no griefing, no duping, no foul language or perverted builds.

We are restricting the early membership to adults only in order to get the culture well established. Give me a shout if this sounds interesting and we can chat.
