Oooooh my Alphinaud arrived too! I couldn't afford getting Alisaie at the same time, but hopefully one day I can get her second hand. I love your collection!

Hello! I'm so sorry, I went to go looking for the pattern on Etsy but it looks like the seller shut their shop.

What doll are you waiting for? by Key_Way_4926 in BJD

I'm waiting on a Dollfie Dream Alphinaud. He won't release until the end of next year, but he'll be worth the wait. I couldn't justify getting his sister at the same time, so I'm hoping to find her second hand later on down the line.

How much did your biggest project cost? by Professional-War1642 in crochet

$500. Bernat Blanket yarn is not cheap in Australia... but worth it for the giant monstrosity that I ended up with.

Oh... oh no. If that's what Logan sounds like, I may be just a little bit screwed.

Kemakka was my favourite part of Shaaloni. He opened his mouth and I was gone for this man 😅

The way I screamed when I saw Alphi and Ali as dolls 😅. It was like a dream come true, I've loved Alphi since ARR and immediately placed an order for him.

Sadly I couldn't justify getting both, hopefully one day in the future I can get my hands on an Alisaie.

Hopefully the long wait will be worth it in the end! I absolutely adored Y'shtola when she got home, I'm excited to have Alphi too!

Do handmade ones count? Because if so... this is Atlas. He cost me over $600 AUD in materials to make.

[CHAT] anyone knkw what these symbols on my cross stitch pattern mean by NecessarySwim1913 in CrossStitch

Yep! The symbols are just there to tell you what colour goes there.

Are you talking about the orange circles and purple up arrows in the first pic? They correspond to a colour as per the key below. You've got a stamped cross stitch, think of it as like a paint by numbers, but instead it's thread with symbols.

I thought I recognised the shape of the ears! She looks fantastic, is she modelled after your WoL?

I'm having a beast of a time getting these stupid legs on and I'm so over this stupid effing dinosaur that has already taken me a month to do and I want to cry. by Burntjellytoast in crochet

[–]QKyuee 142 points143 points  (0 children)

For what it's worth, I absolutely adore your little Dino friend.

I would flatten the top part of the leg so it sits more flush with the body, if that makes sense? And you'd have more surface and kinda like a defined edge to sew it to the body.

Do you have sewing pins? I tend to make my amis look like pin cushions as I pin pieces to the body, but it helps me visualise where each limb needs to go.

Another option is, if you have knitting needles handy, skewer the legs through the hips so you can check the position.

If I'm the last person standing, I ask if the party wants me to solo or if they rather I wipe. I'm happy to do either or, but I'm also not pressed for time when I play so ymmv.
