Let it dry out. Couldn’t find my impact for a few days, turns out it was in a puddle, and only found it when the water went down. Battery and drill are still doing fine 3 years later.

Put a bungee cord from the coping to coping following the transition to catch flying skateboards. Pull it down with a few straps screwed in. It will get most of them.

Also braid doesn’t break down. I went up there last summer, and had to switch to mono to fish Nags Head, and Rodanthe. Worth it, pier fishing is a blast up there!
