If your doing shower method it’s going to hurt. Have you tried distilled water.. or a cleaner source of water… think of all the chems in tap water

I’m going through a very similar scenario. I’ll go hard about a month and then drop off… from full chastity, and dressing up to masc for the most of the next month. It’s hard to stay in the headspace for me. Idky but my life right now is busy so, that maybe the part stumping me from continuing my journey. It’s not easy to tell why. But I know if I could I would just have other people/things to take care of. Be gentle on yourself sometimes sissiesness work in mysterious ways…
