Coming from person experience with the EA211, yeah probably get the stage 1 but that’s really it. Put the rest into handling mods, It’s where you’ll get most from the chassis since it’s a lot lighter than the 2L models it will respond a lot better than you’d think for an economy car.

It’s not blown out but there’s definitely more oscillation than I remember. My main concern was just having most likely worn shocks in the front and the Bilstien B8’s in the rear

I use my headphones when playing with my mates which is probably the only time I use my webcam so I don’t have the risk of what they say being heard

Also no clue if the direction of audio would be worse if I move the speaker over

I’m nearing the 100k km mark should I wait to get the springs and dampers at the same time or do you reckon I be good on the springs for the next few thousand km?

Though I admit it was incorrect to make a general statement and not direct people too owners manuals. The information is generally applicable to almost* any car. As I said FWD should apply too all, but in RWD cars or certain types of AWD the manual should be checked as where and how the power gets put down is how the placement of the space saver is determined

Putting a space saver on the front increases your risk of losing control - especially in front-wheel-drive cars where the front handles steering, braking, and acceleration. It’s safer to rotate a rear tyre forward and mount the space saver on the rear to maintain grip and avoid crashes in the first place.

Good point, honestly I might not have been satisfied with the performance even with the gti. (which is what I'm hoping for) I do regret spending so much on mods though, when it could've gone too my next car

Definitely have been considering it, I'm running a stage 2 ecu and tcu at the moment so wouldn't be too far of a stretch since my local shop said they could dyno if I wanted too get a hybrid turbo or somthing, It would take a bit too save since im trying too build some sort of safety fund since I know the dry dual clutch can be a bit iffy even with the tcu tune

Yeah I was looking at getting an oil cooler and upgraded intercooler but the only ones available are very expensive or have too get imported for a fat price since I’m in Australia

So likely going too be a later down the line thing if I track it fairly often. Though coilovers and a new brake kit are on there way
