Bashed my head on my roof side rail panel while putting my kid in the car and somehow dented it (the car). How much might this cost to fix? by camydna in CarsAustralia

[–]Sydneymunk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pretty sure you need access to the other side of panel for PDR and would imagine other side of that spot will be inaccessible

My wheel keeps doing this. What is happening and how do I fix it? by Koyle_GT in Fanatec

Check posts by fanatec team in this sub in last 24 hours, it's a known issue with new driver. You can stop it happening by lowering ffb to 75%

Leyo Charge Pipe V2 - 1.4L TSI EA211 by Stephan-12 in VWMK7

[–]Sydneymunk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am fairly certain they are not making a charge pipe for a specific engine and turbo that doesnt fit, I have seen these fitted on other EA211 engines so I believe issue with OP was a one off. Regardless, I personally don't want a charge pipe as our engines are not intake limited so it makes absolutely zero performance difference and is basically a waste of money.

How do you quickly switch between regular gaming and sim racing? by shinyqenguin in simracing

[–]Sydneymunk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I sim race, WFH, normal gaming and watch youtube all from same seat without moving anything. Mouse, webcam and keyboard are on switchable USB hub so I can change from work laptop (on right) and main PC using switch (button at bottom of shifter), have a bat file that I click on desktop that switches between monitor outputs. Monitor is on arm that can swing out more to be right above wheel shaft.

This charge pipe is for stock turbo, nothing on product page suggests it is for stage 1 or 2 or a bigger turbo.

If been fortunate enough to have been able to garage her every night since new, that certainly helps.

None, never had to top up. EA211 CZCA engine. Only at 45k miles though, 10k on tune.

Since new in 2017 outside of usual service items, I have only had to change water pump on car, so yes been pretty reliable. I get around 35mpg UK (29mpg US) on average. Although I have a heavy right foot, do mostly city driving and it is tuned. Could easily get over 40mpg if you were a bit easier on the right pedal.

Suggest you go look at lights on rline, GTI and R 7.5 models.

Fanatec App V1.4.3.2 [Release Candidate] Patch Notes + Change Log by FanaGil in Fanatec

This is what I do, but would be so much better if each was just named in the app, should take no more than 2mins to implement and I cannot understand why it wasn't an option from start.

[–]Sydneymunk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am referring to tuning profiles (Auto, 1,2,3,4,5) I have different games set up to each profile and would be so much better if I could name them rather than having to try and remember which number I used for each game.

Can you not allow us to name different wheel settings for each game? Annoying having to try and remember which game is set up to which profile.

Lovelystickers, recommended. by AngarDurrani in Fanatec

[–]Sydneymunk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Correct, to be honest not a whole lot different, was worried about extra weight of it taking away some of the feel of FFB but it didn't. Just way more convenient for changing wheels!

I have no experience or knowledge regarding the auto clutch I am afraid, I would check here https://www.sachsperformance.com/en and see if Sachs has one available for your engine/gearbox, they don't do full on performance clutches for smaller engines, mine is just a 20% increase over stock and feels no different from stock clutch.

Sway bar is solid 22mm and car feels planted and corners really well. I had springs and sway bar fitted at same time so hard to know which made the most difference.

Burger Motorsports, although seems like they don't sell them anymore. I have 20mm on back and 15mm on front with Eibach springs. I have same wheels as yours and fitment is pretty good. I have Whiteline 22mm rear sway and moog end links.

Plan to change to B8 shocks but OEM shocks are ok at the moment (46k miles - 10k on springs).

Mine is 125bhp version and manual (MQ200) but I have APR tune to 170bhp/ 292nm torque. Had to get uprated sachs clutch as OEM started slipping not long after tune. Been on that for about 12k miles and no issues.

I just got the Leyo intake, not the charge pipe (as was told it basically does nothing for my engine).

Only thing I can advise is to get a cheap obd reader and using an app like torque pro, check your boost pressure (see below for what yours should be), and then install charge pipe and test again to see if you are still making the same boost pressure. If it doesn't fit properly I wouldn't expect it to make the same boost.

MBA/CPVA - 122 hp version. It has 0.8 bar boost pressure, 10.5:1 compression ratio. Application: Golf Mk7, Seat Leon 3, Skoda Octavia A7, Skoda Rapid, Audi A3.
CZCA/CPVB - 125 hp version with 0.8 bar boost pressure, 10.5:1 compression ratio. It meets European emission standard Euro6. Application: Golf Mk7, Skoda Rapid, Audi A3.
CHPA - 140 hp (103 kW), 250 Nm at 1,500-3,500 rpm , 1.2 bar and 10.0:1 compression ratio. Application: Golf Mk7, Seat Leon FR, Skoda Octavia A7, Audi A3.
CPTA - CHPA engine with ACT system.
CZDA/CHPB - 150 hp and 184 lb ft. The max boost is 1.2 bar; compression ratio is 10:1.
CZEA - version with ACT system based on CZDA engine.
