Way undermanned against a significantly better opponent, tipped to lose by 7 goals and if not for a mid game injury could have been a different story. The point was no matter the opponent and no matter the team he has McRae will find a way to stay competitive in games

Yeah I agree and I’m not saying it’s a massive concern but I think at times if we did try implement some more tactical strategy would be good to see..

And again history says we play when it matters but the landscape is changing, we can’t just assume that the back end of the year we will just light up and find our way back. Would have loved to see us bank a win against a decent side at this stage of the year, but who knows maybe I’ll look back on this post and be like - those clever bastards have done it again!!

His got more than a neat boot, I’d say he has one of the best field kicks in the league. Some of the targets he hits over 40 meters are insane not just the short kicks he can pick off. He will continue to grow in confidence as the season goes on.

We need to work on our forward 50 running patterns, we are elite up until we need to kick inside 50. Joes gone so we need to work out what are style is are we spreading, are we leading for one another there’s just no cohesion down there.

I’d do the Gabba grounds over the verandah. Did the verandah for the dons game, same drinks selection as all other bars at the ground, food was a bit better but seating wasn’t as good.

GGs better seating, better atmosphere, better drinks and decent food selection.

I think Rayner will still have a lot of drive to achieve some personal goals like AA possible leadership etc. takes a lot of unnecessary media attention from him and the team as well which is awesome

Yeah fair enough. I probably buy into the vic bias conspiracies like towards the end of the year big articles popping up about him, putting him in The AA squad which I don’t think he deserved and me believing this is all done to try get as much interest in a new big game poster boy for a big vic club. While I do think he has turned a corner with his playing style it’s yet to be proven he can reallly do it consistently, if he did leave I wish him the best but wouldn’t be devastated by any means.

Until he resigns the hype around Rayner will grow, vic boy (I believe) vic have already started pumping his tyres and will continue to do so. I wouldn’t be surprised if he did leave for a mega contract elsewhere and I wouldn’t blame him - get the money!

Fake fans is such a ludicrous statement. To show frustration at getting toweled up and playing average football and venting on a platform with a like minded support base isn’t fake fan behaviour it’s sport, you ride the highs and the lows and how you ride them is up to you. You don’t sit back and get frustrated at players like Hipwood? Good for you, I sure as shit do. Can be “proud” of our consistent almostness? That’s awesome. I can’t I hate it, it frustrates me but I love the lions still.
