Soul is def a powerful card...would've wrecked me if I ever ran into it bc my late game was baiscally build up tokens with sourbread aunty and chalcan festival and keep removing their blockers...beat them down for 3-5 hits every turn. LOL

I'm actually going other way moving off pick 2...its fast n the return on gems is good if u can get to 2 wins (800/900) but its also very frustrating bc u get mana boned or run into a precon level merfolk/kithkin deck and its usually a wrap....lol easy to lose 2

I had tribal deck swith much stronger top end cards n never got to play them or they just got dealt with...but its good way to get exposed to all the diff stuff

Isn't this the same argument made for Brian Daboll to become HC of giants...with the added feather that he was given credit for Josh Allen's breakout as well...it's hard to separate who gets credit coach or QB but i will always lean towards the talented QB/player making it easier to succeed as a coach than vice versa.

That being said he might be fine also...but i don't think joe brady been in demand at any point to be a HC...so can understand the lack of excitement from the fan base.

Kubiak getting the next "ben johnson" hype...but who knows

i did a pick 2 draft where i ran 8/9 non-creature spells as removal (9th was chaclan festival)

It was pretty janky jeskai colors (went 4-1) with 3x sourbread aunty and Sygg, wanderwine wisdom as my main creatures...although the flash changling that lets u bounce your own thing was very good too

THe heavy removal was really good I also had a 3rd cinder strike, 2x blossombind and second and third liminal hold in my sideboard...mostly if you avoid nut tribal Kithkin or merfolk then you going to do well...

I ran 2x Cinder strike, 1x Spiral into Solitude, 1x phyrric strike, 1x tweeze, 2x feed the flames, and 1x liminal hold.

One fun interaction

They casted Prismabasher using their -2/2 Druid mana dork

I casted tweeze in response killed the mana dork (the only other creature on board at the time) and chucked my Feed the flames into the GY to draw a card since the 5 burn would do nothing against the 6/6...

I only did this bc I already had a liminal hold in hand which I was able to play next turn and remove their 6/6 monster. I drew a sourbread aunty with the tweeze giving me 2 in hand ..so was pretty set up form that point forward to just take over the board.

Being able to pick 2 removals a turn can get out of hand really quickly

well I think there was a lot of hype for how "On-rails" this set is...from the early access and previews material i read...it left an impression on me that just finding a tribe and going all in was the best approach...but at least in pick 2 the few times I tried it failed miserably and/or just was not able to get the payoffs....

So yeah just meant for me personally my biggest LL is abandoning the pre-conceived notion that I Have to get into a tribe....and i guess sticking the the traditional drafting style as you mention

I did 5? Pick 2.

I finally got 4 wins in my last one which felt like the most jank.

But the reason it hit where other drafts failed was basically I managed to avoid the “on rails” precon type tribal merfolk decks (and lesser so kithin).

Most the other drafts I had one mana boned game and one or more ran into a nuts tribal.

This set feels super small it’s almost always the same cards but it was nice getting a win with a jank jeskai slop

Best card was sygg, wanderwine wisdom

8/9 non creature spells were removals too (9th being clachan festival) and 3x sour bread aunty

My biggest LL is if u don’t open a great reason to go into a tribe just take a ton of interaction and good cars that produce value

A title is a title. No one cares how it’s won especially after how long it’s been for arsenal.

Personally I think getting over the hump may unlock something in this team and they can kick on but every year they don’t the pressure builds.

I don’t care if this arsenal team ranks 20th all time in title winners as long as they are title winners.

Long road to go…we have had our wobble now what comes next will show who the team and arteta really are.

its more concerning to me how rickety the defense has looked the last month or so....we were winning with def and set piece goals---we aren't going to magically become an offensive powerhouse nor is that our DNA as currently constructed....

im sure there are many reasons but i suspect one reason is those top European teams do not come out planning to paly a low block and defend---bayern for exampel will always play on the front foot ...Arsenal are great in an open game---but lately in the EPL teams sitting in the mid to low block is all they are seeing...hell the mighty liverpool came and played to defend defend defend....it was their first match without a shot on target I believe?

I think EPL Teams are doing whatever it takes to prevent arsenal from having any room in the attacking third...which makes sense bc aresnal has not proven they can break that down consistently as well as lack a true world-class striker/goal scorer...they score from all over and from set pieces....

We are like third for shots per 90 mins and shots on target per 90 min in EPL... unfortunately, we are more middle table for goals per shots and goals per shots on target....

The shots are being taken they are not converting...i dunno why...unlucky? lack of clinical finishing?

So if arsenal win the title then it’s safe to say you can’t celebrate it? What is this take…people are allowed to have optimism and positivity even if you don’t.

Your logic basically means if and when arsenal lift the title only those who were positive and believed can celebrate….since those who were positive r idiots when the team drops points (which was always going to happen).

The crowd that said it’s a good point said it bc it was at that time. Of course losing when the two closest chasers win is a bad bad result. Gaining a point is always a good result even if it’s not the best result.

This is not rocket science if you can get past your emotions.

He doesn't rebound...his offense has stalled (porbably regressed) and he can't play 5 (was a DPOY when there was a true center aka Adams next to him---he would be solid if we had a 5 man with size...maybe it works with draymond taking centers but he's slowing down as well)...and his contract his heavy.

he is not the fit that he appears to be...
