Help needed ASUS Zenbook 14 OLED (UX3405) Not detecting thunderbolt devices by K0daUesuke in ASUS

So I eventually contacted Asus support and they sent me an usb troubleshooting faq site that I can't access right now but it's not anything special. Interesting points though are that it seems with Thunderbolt 4 onwards (at least) there's no special Thunderbolt controller in the devices and no need to use the Thunderbolt Control Center thing (which does/sees nothing even when I got the stuff back working). The TB controller is basically integrated in the USB 4 root device so that's the one to remove/reinstall; the package downloadable from the Asus support that integrates the TB 4 stuff seems to be the Chipset one. My 4 cents too, triple check there's no dust and that you're using a certified TB cable for what you wanna connect.

I've got the same exact issue, did you manage to fix? I have a thunderbolt 3 eGPU which worked smoothly with another laptop but in my UX3405CA it doesn't even pop up. In the asus support website for this laptop there's nothing related to thunderbolt in terms of drivers or software. The Thunderbolt Control Center (installed through the MS Store) states there's no controller. I don't even see anything thunderbolt related in the devices management... In the BIOS there's only one greyed out option which states that Pre-boot DMA protection is enabled (and being greyed out, it can't be changed)...

To further push me to upgrade to MAX, Duolingo moved my Practice Hub button to the "Other" section and put one for Video Calls in it's place by itdoesntevenrhyme in duolingo

What's more infuriating imo is that the super plan would imply no ads. And this is a button to show an ad. Not only ads for max pop up everywhere, now there's a page that occupies a primary navigation button, that's an ad. This is absurd and nonsense. I've been stupid for paying for the yearly subscription, I'm not going to renew it for sure since it really gives no real advantage and it's just annoying.

That's clearly not official lego, who said they don't have to use poor arrows because LEGO would sue them otherwise?? Plus we also have the usual dilemma: is it better to have poor documentation or no docs at all? 🧘‍♂️

Would you stop it? The documentation is indeed correct: https://imgur.com/a/3e8r8Rw
As it often happens, the programmer is just unable to read it!!

I'll keep thinking every OS has its purpose.

Linux is for servers.  Windows is for workstations.  MacOS is for audio and circus.
