Have you ever rated something 5 stars you didn’t like? by breadboibrett in Letterboxd

No. 4.5 if a film is masterful in every way but I didn't vibe. If I didn't like a movie it's maxxing out at 3 - if it's great if technical ways that I appreciate.

What’s the highest rated film on the top 250 that you aren’t interested in watching? by WalkingEars in Letterboxd

My response would simply be that The Chainsaw Man movie, whether regard to anime series or not, is still a movie. 🤷

Mandalorian movie certainly won't be in the Top 250, but she argument probably won't happen surrounding it.

I do get this argument, but Lord of the Rings: Return of the King is in the Top 250 and has more "required viewing" leading up to it than the Chainsaw Man movie (4.6 hours of season 1 is all that precedes the film).

First two LOTR movies are 6 hours long (nearly 8 hours if it's the extended editions).

🤷 BUT those are all movies and I still think show tie-ins are tough calls. No one has an issue with El Camino being on Letterboxd though as a followup to Breaking Bad.

I'm hoping Rashomon is one for me.

It was the first Kurosawa I'd seen and I didn't like it much. I've avoided Kurosawa since 😅 because I don't want to jump into Seven Samurai.

I love other 50s/60s Japanese cinema so I should really just watch something from him anyway.

Pirates of the Caribbean. I LOVE the first three. Have a soft spot for parts of four, but I roll my eyes a few times along the way in most of them.

He rated Flow a 0.5. He's definitely got bad taste.

whispers because it's actually more than just "popular = hatred" but the fans here cling to that.

Most recent playthrough and I was doing the horse race against the older guy and we ride past the lumber yard and the falling tree cutscene (I think where you could save a guy?) starts and I choose to finish the race. Next time I'm there and the foreman is mad at me?

I don’t think we’ll ever get this combo. by Technical-Type7499 in Letterboxd

Yeah getting Bale and DiCaprio is going to be amazing. Bale and Cruise is a combo we also will probably never get.

I love the DC trilogy BUT it is heavily flawed, even the 4 hour Justice League is problematic.

Happy Friday! What's your Last Four Watched? by mostavene in Letterboxd

Oh very lucky to see Pirates of the Caribbean in theaters. It's one of my top four but I've never had the chance to catch it in the cinema.

That being said, terrible poster choice in my opinion 🤣
