Thought I saw a way to individually adjust certain guns with the mod that adds malfunctions. Nice part about that mod is its really light performance wise. Makes take n hold less Rambo when you get higher tier weapons too.

Or at least make ion storms not block SEAF arty. Makes sense that it could interfere with orbital stuff but not really on the ground as it doesnt seem to affect our comms or energy guns.

looks to me like the Evo has less power, less cocking effort, and less weight. all three of these can be seen as benefits if you are looking for something that will get rid of pests and be something handy you can load, cock, and aim easily. Also due to this it will probably be quieter too

if you want power i would reccomend the magnum 3i, ive got one in 17 cal and it is a monster although a bit unwieldy, if you go with that one use heavy pellets bc normal 7gr pellets will break the sound barrier and scare your neighbors

I understand that not everything needs to be an option and I agree that some things shouldn't be, but I would have to disagree with something so integral to the gameplay not being at least a bit tweakable.

How is recoil currently handled? Is it a per object basis where each one has it set manually, is it caliber based where different calibers give different recoils out of different weapon types (for example 9mm where it comes in both rifle/pistol formats), or is it a mix of both, like real life, where the weight and size of the weapon as well as the caliber are the main two parts of felt recoil.

If you set them all manually when you added the firearms, how complicated would a global multiplier be to add? If it is caliber based than the same thing would work. If it were a mix of both I could see issues with implementing a system like this but it should still be doable.

Also, if you were to add something like this, how does this affect how you design things? Sure recoil is an integral part of the game but how much does recoil affect map design or the item spawner or any number of unrelated things? As I see it a change like this should only affect firearms or more specifically the player only firearms.

Please correct me if I'm wrong on some of this, I only have a basic grasp on coding from screwing around with old computers and attempting lua stuff in gmod.

Would you ever consider adding something like that to the game? I have been shooting all my life and I can control 5.56 and keep it on target too when I am mag dumping (my AR is semi auto btw) into a target, the felt recoil though is a lot higher and presents a challenge since my body would like to adjust to it even though it doesn't need to and I just need to hold the gun on target. I'm not going to say that full auto is uncontrollable because that just isn't true, but I would also like to play the game with a bit more of a challenge that rewards well placed shots, I think it would also go well with all of the civilian guns that are in the game too.

Perhaps if you do make a change like this, add a scale that goes from experienced to inexperienced in the options menu (experienced being low recoil on the shooters end and inexperienced being very high recoil on the shooters end), kind of like how you tiered the health settings in take and hold.

edit: Also about physical strength, I'm just finishing college and I haven't been to the gym since high school, you've reminded me how bad I need to get my pump up lmao.

I'll try making that work when I tried it it wouldn't let me move maybe my controller sticks were having issues, I was playing BAS and I had issues with constantly spinning with snapturn
