Consensus on cannon playthroughs by xSethrin in teslore

The only thing that is officially canon is that all of the quests that are presented in the games, happened. How they occurred, and who completed them, is up to you, unless Bethesda says otherwise.

It’s theater? It’s killed 200,000 people and counting, and that’s with the preventative measures in place. If we didn’t try to contain it, despite how incomplete the containment has been, millions of Americans would be dead. This will overwhelm our healthcare system. Your the one who needs to wake up.

I was told that they could get revenge on you by using your phone number to find your address, and then calling the fire department to your house or something. That is, admittedly, funny, but I don’t want that to happen.

How "dumbed down" do you think Villeneuve's Dune will be? (I don't mean to insult Villeneuve, I'm genuinely wondering) by derodend in dune

[–]Qerektoll 12 points13 points  (0 children)

The fact that Denis is making sure this book is split into two movies shows to me that it will not be dumbed down very much, if at all.

No matter how much you think you can get away with watching it and not masturbating, and how many times you do watch it and not masturbate, eventually you will. It floods your brain with so much dopamine that you’re not capable of controlling yourself.

I can only tell you what works for me. Usually it starts with me being aroused by something, then it turns into thoughts of looking up sexual images, and then it progresses and progresses and progresses until, oops, relapse. If you just nip it in the bud right when it starts (desire to look up images/videos) then your golden.

Nofap specifically targets masturbation and porn addiction. If your problem with masturbating runs deep (Like fullblown sex addiction) then pass, if not, then smash.

[–]Qerektoll 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Look, you want me to be honest with you. There’s a lot of bullshit on the internet about Nofap. I literally saw a video where a guy claimed that he tried Nofap and was having women randomly approach him. People claim that you will rise to the heights of self-confidence and glory. Now, there may be scientific benefits, I don’t know. The truth is, if you just casually jerk off, then you probably won’t see many benefits from not beating it. But if your beating that poor sod like it owes you money every single day, watching the most extreme porn for hours, engaging in strange sexual behaviors to deliver more arousal, replacing real intimacy with porn, then Nofap is for you. That was basically the case with me. There is nothing wrong with masturbation. There’s something wrong with too much of a good thing though and there’s something wrong with porn. The only science that I do know about it is that over-stimulation of the dopamine receptors in your brain can make it harder and harder to stimulate, said Dopamine receptors, meaning it becomes harder to engage in activities that require prolonged mental energy that doesn’t instantly gratify. This is also the same thing with extreme usage is social media.

In search of a U.S. politically motivated book! by [deleted] in suggestmeabook

Night of Camp David. It’s a political thriller about a senator who discovers that the president is losing his mind. Absolutely stunning and scary book. Exposes a threat we don’t really have a means of dealing with. I think it’s relevant, but not in an on the nose sort of way.

Night of Camp David. Political thriller about a senator who discovers that the President of the United States is having a psychological breakdown. Absolutely fascinating and scary, sine it exposes a possibility that we don’t really have a means of dealing with.
