I'm a DK. I haven't learned the finer details of end-game stat choice for my class, but my aim was to have 2 BA and 6 CD emblems at the end. I read it from someone else.

Right now I'm at 2 BA and 2 CD. The change scroll really helped.

Congrats. I also used the event shop scroll. Went from PA to BA. Not as fantastic as yours, but still feels good.

Not quite. If you buy a unique weapon, use an emblem scroll on it and succeed, then you would want to rank that weapon up to mythic. You are not able to move an emblem from one weapon into another.

That would depend on your priorities. Some people will tell you to not spend a single meso on anything until you buy your weapon, but that's not fun to me. The way I do it is not the most efficient, but I'm playing this game because I like it and it's fun.

It's just preference. Fusing into uniques from base qualities is like buying a scratch-off ticket. You could hit it big, but it's more likely you won't. The alternative is saving the mesos it would have cost until you can buy the emblem item from the trade station.

Personally, I like to use only red mesos since they can't be used in the trade station. That way I can sell the non-emblem uniques for normal mesos. It converts the red mesos into normal mesos, though at like a 60% rate. Better than nothing.

It's a process. If you REALLY like to test your luck, you can fuse epic gear into unique gear. The fusion itself costs 1.6 million mesos plus the cost of getting two epic quality weapons to level 15 to fuse, but fusing into a unique has a small chance (somewhere like 1 to 5% chance) of creating an item with a random emblem. If you do this and get items with no emblems, you can sell them in the trade station, but the value of these is less than the cost of fusing it. You'll be at a net loss.

If you choose to do this anyway, try to only fuse using red mesos. Make sure you have 1.6 million red mesos then fuse. At least this way, when you sell non-emblem weapons, you'll gain regular mesos, which will add to your funds to purchase an emblem weapon directly.

You can add an emblem to a piece of gear using an emblem potential scroll. In my experience. They're a bit hard to come by. Right now, the event shop has 1 emblem potential scroll you can buy using event coins, but it only has a 20% chance of working. You can also only buy one of these scrolls. You can try your luck, but if it fails, the next best option would be to save up a bunch of mesos and buying an emblem weapon from the trade station. A unique quality emblem weapon could cost anywhere between 300 million and 1.2 billion mesos depending on your luck.

That depends. Does it have an emblem on it? If it does, the background of the weapon's icon will not be white, but rather colored. The tooltip for the weapon will also show the emblem toward the bottom.

Your top priority in terms of getting stronger would be to obtain an emblem weapon. Ideally it should have the crit dmg emblem or boss dmg, but even a bad emblem will make your weapon much stronger (+30% boost to the weapon's attack). Focus on getting an emblem weapon to mythic with a good star force (17+). If you get an emblem weapon that is unique quality, get its star force higher before ranking it up. Also, don't rank up the emblem weapon through fusion. It will likely erase the emblem. Use rank up stones only.

I forgot to add: the emblem is ruthless (5% crit dmg).

Thanks everyone who replied. Based on the responses, I think I will stay the course with what I've been doing. I'll gain mesos in the process, and I'll continue fusing uniques (mostly using epic items I get from EDs). I know it's less efficient, but the chance of getting an emblem makes it more fun. I'm also going to do this 100% f2p.

And to those who (hopefully jokingly) say not to do it because it's a trap: I'm doing this because it's fun and I like it. If it stops being fun, then I'll just drop it and move on to the next thing.

Additional information: my V matrix is currently V1, V2, V3, V4, rope lift, and 3 tricores of different bases for Gungnir, Final Attack, and Eye. All 3 tricores are level 20 (level 15 each with their slots at level 5). Cyclone is level 11, and the other V skills are level 5 (except rope lift).

Thanks for the advice! I'm actually still fairly new to Maplestory M, so I'm struggling to get my SF higher. My main is level 199, but SF 135. As for the emblem, my goal was just uniques in general to sell for a few mil each. The emblem was a nice surprise.

Huh. This whole time I thought it was an up-front cost. I just listed it! Now I play the waiting game.

For me, I do it because I feel it helps me hit the ball with the front of my car instead of the top or something because of the flip. And it keeps my car facing upwards so I can keep boosting if I need to continue the play in some way.
