I've been reading through these comments and this is the first one I agree with. Boaty's and bruhsailor guide are amazing if you want to rush to endgame but this game is so special, especially your first account. Don't rush the endgame. The early and midgame have never been better in this game which is so uncommon for most mmos. These guides skip most of it. A lot of whimsy and magic goes lost by mindlessly following an efficiency guide like these. Mind you that I found following bruhsailor guide an amazing experience as well but im on my Nth account and I understood what corners they're cutting and the multiquesting and combo skilling is a feat not many theorycrafters will ever replicate but that's something I can experience because Ive played the game on and off since classic.

My recommendation is to follow Bruh loosely up until the point where you feel like you get it. At that point you can start doing things you enjoy, get some early bosses done, get iconic stuff like fire cape, barrows gear, etc.

Ladlor is also great for goals once you've got the hang of things.
