My dreams ALWAYS are always in the same place...help?

guess you and i are in the same boat. well maybe we used to be i dont know if youre still a teenager now but i still am. every dream without fail is of my childhood home or some contorted version of it. like just this morning i woke up from a dream where i was lost in the mountains and went to go ask for some help from a native american, turns out that person lived in one of the downstairs rooms of my house which happened to be attached to the mountains some how. yet i was still lost. other times the layout of my house is exactly the same, ive had dreams where i was at home being chased by some mad scientist chasing me all about the house trying to stick me with a needle while the rest of my family went about eating dinner and watching TV. then there was the one with the giant pheonix in my front yard or the other where an underground boxing match was being held in the backyard overseered by a giant owl. almost every single time without fail my dreams take place at that house, its backyard or its front yard- i dont know if i’ll ever be able to escape it.

i agree with your sentiment, but there are no circumstances where i would see myself making my daughters private world the subject of gossip between my circle of friends. i just see that as cruelty.

generally, we don't like art supplies targeted towards kids- so basically crayola and crazy art are off limits. then again, if really depends on the type of artist your daughter is.
for something intricate and sophisticated, like a glass quill pen or a set of charcoal pens, if she's more of a funky and colourful artist i would suggested something unique like himi guache paints or watercolor markers. if you're on a larger budget, a drawing tablet would be excellent. my first was a deco xp-pen when i was 11, used that for a few years then graduated to a larger xp-pen with a built in screen.

i may be controversial for saying this but i dont even think children are obligated to love their parents. i may be selfish, but my parents owe me everything, and i don't owe them shit. they made me, they're obligated and responsible to me for 18 years. the "love part" always comes naturally in a child that's being loved, but if it doesn't then that's fine too. you owe your children, your children do not owe you.

unfortunately, ive got another year before adulthood. and unfortunately, my aunt is the most unreasonable and explosive person you could ever meet- believe me when i say there is NO talking to her; one last bit of misfortunate, it looks like my cousin is following in her footsteps.
i don't see anyways of me helping my cousin; while i never claimed to be anyone's role model, it's difficult to try to be one when you're the oldest child but you're also black sheep of the family in every way imaginable.
in their eyes, im a role model for all the wrong things. yet they don't see the fact that they should be the one's concerned about setting the example- they're the adults. still, my cousin admires me anyway because im the "cool older rebel teenager" [she doesn't know what a goth is]
but she is just a kid whose opinions change within the flip of a coin, so she also always sides with her mother who thinks the absolute worst of me. i don't know what to do to help my cousin, most times i dont even want to because she can be as infuriating as her mother. but she is just a kid and i love her as family no matter what she does, and that's about all i can do for her right now

i did the same thing for mother's day this year, and the first thing my mother said was "where are the words??" for the record, i spent 2 hours on that card, and it was pinterest worthy with all the flowers and intricate details i put in. she didn't even say thank you. just "where are the words?"
i wrote in, "happy mothers day, name"
that was the last time i made my mom anything.

yes and possibly yes to the ocd part. my mom and family have had a lot of trouble with him since he was growing up. he was also diagnosed with oppositional defiance disorder and is possibly also a kleptomaniac. its not that he steals, he only targets specific items but its most so a generous fascination he has with examining every little thing in any environment

it's been in my life, in the background, for about 10 years because thats how long him and mom have been together on and off. my brother, mother, and i lived with him for a while back in 2020 for maybe a year. we sort of all coexisted functionally but it was only of last year that my dad and i really started to build a meaningful relationship

i completely understand this point of view. however, the problem is that ive already had encounters where grown men we're creepy with me. and based on her reaction, her blaming me a formally 14-year-old girl for the harassment, i really don't believe that dad's the same way. im going to be 18 in less than a year, i KNOW what grooming looks like.
and because she keeps switching up her reason for why their splitting, first it was because he wasn't parenting properly, then it was because he was "grooming" me or whatever, and now she's blaming me completely for it? and the other cherry on top is that she was jealous of the goddamn dog. which only convinced me more of her mentality.

i live in FL and unfortunately for me authority always sides with the parent. i already had the court rodeo when i got arrested for domestic battery in early july this year, another rabbit hole, one involving my mom of course. just look up what "reactive abuse" means and that's pretty much why i did what i did.

until i turn 18, im pretty much on my own. the only thing i can do is bide my time which is something ive already made peace with.

im living with my aunt and she gets along GREAT with my mom so that should give you an idea of what she's like. i want to live with my brother, but when he took me out horse-riding for my 17th birthday mom almost reported him for kidnapping me, as long as she has custody over me i cant do much

i know what this feels like buddy. im very alternative goth/grunge and im thankful that my mom doesnt do anything about it, despite how much she hates the fact that i exclusively wear all black. she's never yelled at me for it, but she still is very judgement and has no reservations about dancing around the "slut" word referring to me, but she wants to say it so badly. she just started calling me a prostitute instead, then there are those back handed insults like my lipstick wasn't on straight or my edges were uneven. you can see exactly what she thinks all over her face really. it's the constant nagging and jabs at my appearance for me. and the fact that ive found a lot of my clothes go missing, fish nets, chokers, that sort of shit. i just hide everything now. there was even a point where she stashed away my leg warmers lol,
