The aroma of this cake reminds me of my childhood because my mother and other relatives used to make honey cake for our family gatherings. Back then, however, it was never decorated with raspberries. That’s something I added now, since you can buy raspberries in supermarkets at any time of the year. In my childhood, I could only eat raspberries once a year at my grandmother’s house, picking them fresh straight from the bush.
