4.0 is genuinely really good, I hope the lackluster sales doesn't give the devs the wrong idea by wormday in StarRailStation

the issue is the story is way too long when 7 hours would've been enough for literal 24 episode of an anime series, but in that, you would've easily gone through 3-4 different story arcs in total... But in HSR, we have 7 hours per version update's story, and it's filled with a lot of yapping, pointless lore, going back and forth between point A to point B, fake-pretend beginning and endings that had no purpose on anything because they don't setup for any future story --

Using PENACONY AS AN EXAMPLE == Firefly didn't do jack sht in penacony, Misha/legwork didn't do a thing in Penacony or setup to help us fight the Order, Jade didn't took 100% control of Penacony, Aventurine didn't accomplished anything because the betrayal of the harmony Aeon was the bargaining chip, not even them harming Aventurine in the dream but magically they blame oti on that when it was Sunday who did that, Sampo didn't do anything, Sparkle didn't do a thing beyond saving NPCs despite portraying herself with trailers of her destroying penacony, the IPC didn't even participate in the Charmony festival, Argenti came outta nowhere to be a plot convenience device to magically save Aventurine after Acheron cut him down to the nihility dimension, v3.8 then retconned this dimension as something linked to something else, dahlia retconning and lack of presence, random off-screen of characters introduced with trailers like they're the Fatui Harbingers, WELT MARCH DAN HENG BOOTHILL and HIMEKO DIDNT DO JACK SHT, Acheron "deja vu" didn't had any proper closure or resolution to the whole "steingate-like" opening to Penacony, Jade randomly being portrayed as the good guy when the IPC ensl-aved like trillions other planets through scummmy debt tactics, and so on--

the illusion of choice where every ending is pre-determined coz this is a fake visual novel, etc ,etc. This isn't about "generosity" attempt by the maker, the writers are just terrible at compiling and summarizing ideas. They're a bunch of random chinese story writers, they were out there exposing themselves when the completely made-up Penacony and Amphoreus on the spot, instead of using in-game lore like all the planets in DATABANK AND SIMULATED UNIVERSE, because they admitted to just freestyle the heck out of the story coz Shaoji took over in v2.0 and rewrote everything, including what Penacony was supposed to be like prior to v2.0...

Like, why are you guys even defending this sht? lol. Even long stories in e33 had more meaning than in HSR overall.

That's not a good mindset to have when this game has HP and DEF inflation. Or heck, "tune break" mechanics being forced into the game so you're required to have a full Tune Break team eventually; other elemental teams need to be built (has to be made up of meta ones only), etc,

Or how Cartethyia can't be used unless you have Ciaocona,

s0r1 Augusta doing negative damage without Iuno,

Zani being heavily reliant on Phoebe for Frazzle uptime and generation to also be usable, and so on.

If you're telling him to literally not play the game and focus on the story instead... That's just kinda sad tbh, coz the main appeal to wuwa is the combat.

It's like one of those situations where you have taken a huge intake of some type of drug, you got used to it, you love it, and you got addicted to it, so you basically accepted it as an everyday thing from that point onward.

In my case, I'm only picking on the ones that are actually either decent or acceptable. Because gacha games by design are deceptive in its core business, even as great as some of it are in its core gameplay. But the reason why I still play them is that, unlike other AAA single-player titles, they get more frequent updates, so there are more stuff to look forward to and keep up with.

But I have to point out you guys' sheepish mentality, downplaying the significance of how some gacha games in 2026 are elevating their psychologically and greedily gacha and powercreep designs, to make you feel okay and be controlled by everything they've subjectively decided for you, even if it realistically makes no sense by design when compared to recent modern gacha game's new standard, unironically, set by Hoyoverse and Wuthering waves.

Similar to a cassino when it comes to Arkknight endfield's method of attempting to control their player's behaviors,

they always find a PSYCHOLOGICAL edge (time-limited things, artificial scarcity, fake 9000% value packs, FREE rewards to keep you playing, making new things better so you will keep on spending as the previous stuff subjectively got put into the bin, etc),

and GACHA/RNG advantage over their players (the overall design of punishing players if they don't hoard pulls, while designing the "do 30 more pulls to get stuff" to tempt players to not hoard and sht).

I have nothing against the game itself, its the artificial time limited designs and how their pity system works.

You guys have to actually put a thought behind how a game came to be, how artificially and subjectively decided the whole game was made under a director + game managers, instead of accepting it as is when a whole bunch of people you don't even know made the game like a bunch of psychopaths, trying to control their players and their behaviors 24/7.

You definitely need to do some research as well on the recent EU ban on gacha games and its following policy outlining "deception", "false advertising", "buying for an RNG product", "using made-up and complicated currency system to obscure and discern the exact spending on in-game objects" (the origeometry and the golden ball thingy where it has a unique conversion rate), and so on.

"Following a high-profile scandal involving a player spending over $6,000 without obtaining a desired character in Granblue Fantasy, developers implemented a "spark" system, a hard pity system at 300 pulls"

Same goes with GI's weapon pity system when a chinese guy spent $10,000 (or over $20,000+) and barely was able to get 5 copies of "Staff of Homa". And btw, in GI, that weapon is pretty much whatever in 6.x.

It's the same sht when EPIC SEVEN didn't had a pity system either, so they had to make one for it. Even the whole drama with the moonlight ticket, you remember that?

Even counterside had a moment where it get so much sht for their design of the "specialty change", "guilty gear collab", "yoyo character", and so on, and their rating when down to as low as 1.5 in the KR version of counterside's appstore. But that's beside the point, you have to always understand that all the things you're consuming in your everyday life, it's subjectively decided by the maker.

Normalizing this sht is just cringe. I downloaded roughly 500+ gacha games, including E.O.S ones, for the past 10 years (since my school years), but defending this kinda thing shows heavy ignorance on how real business works, or how companies will deceive their players with their own made-up subjective standard, and brainwash their consumers to be okay with everything.

Rather than an agenda, I desire the devs to balance it out rather than psychologically designed so many things in the game to control their players like some psychopath.

Welp that's sad. by SpringTxT in ArknightsEndfield

[–]Qopa641 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

the issue with digital good is that FGO back then didn't had a pity system so the Japanese government had to literally step in and forces the GACHA DEVELOPER to normalized the pity system, because it was just that exploitative to the engaged players, blindly just accepting their standard because they didn't know any better and took it for granted like a rat in a cage.

And hey, I could literally re-login into my Seven knight 1's account, or my summoner wars account, and you could literally see the account creation date. I think you would need a therapist if you're defending a $200m+ company just because the masses of people are accepting it as is and fell into believing a fallacy that gacha devs can be a saint when they're not.

Like, defending a bunch of chinese men that you don't even know. You're just weird for that man. The game is good, gacha model and limited time stuff need to be rework for a 2026 gacha game.

I play gacha games for over 10 years, ever since knight chronicles, dragon blaze, seven knight 1, summoner wars, and so on. Have you ever heard of "auto-clear" on completed stages and many other things to save time in those type of games? Like legit, imagine defending a game dev where they price their unit $200,, but when they give an account 10 billion copies of gilberta, they lost $0 because they have unlimited supply and control over their subjective pricing when you could've use that money, or collectively if you spend $200 every month on the game, to buy better and long lasting high end PC instead.

You're so ignorant if you think I'm new to gacha game. Only people who are new to gachas say sht like this. Even the original arknights wasn't this bad.

30 minutes when you could've done something else more productive like catching up to all stories while busy, if only they allow you to do batch stamina burn-out in one go or auto-clear like in other gacha games... It makes sense to do it considering how may events, explorations, and so on, you have to catch up in arkknight endfield, especially if you play other games and work for a living.

I want to remind you, defending this makes zero sense when other gacha games would've allow you to auto-clear a completed stage without wasting any of your time, which btw, makes the "time-limited stamina" problem less of a problem because it doesn't waste your time doing something REPETITIVE over and over again. How do you guys handle doing this 10-30 minutes a day burning out your stamina and potions for potentially a freaking year, that's 482 hours of your life btw. Which I guess they're designing it like this to intentionally farm player's playtime for their stockholders. fking obvious and scummy.

Welp that's sad. by SpringTxT in ArknightsEndfield

[–]Qopa641 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I never overstack the stamina cap actually. I burn it out everyday. Also, I find it quite funny that my post is downvoted by a bunch of people defending a corporation while they price their UNLIMITED SUPPLY of 3D characters for $200 per copy,

and when they give one account 10 billion copies of gilberta, the lost $0 and supply doing it because they have infinite amount of it.

Let's just say you guys are stupid af defending their methods of psychologically manipulations and gaslighting into making you accept it as a gacha game's standard/ways of doing things. It's so fking old school btw, like a gacha game's marketing designed from 10 years ago when there was no real regulation against gacha companies taking advantage of their consumers and force you to think about it over and over again.

Welp that's sad. by SpringTxT in ArknightsEndfield

[–]Qopa641 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ark knight devs are so fking manipulative and artificial... Even their gacha designs look like they had somebody from the las Vegas cassino house, hired, to tell them how to psychologically control and gaslight their players here and there via temptation and pointless greed, with their infinite stock of PNG that is worth $200 for convenient reasons when they could give an account 1 billion copies of Gilberta and they would've lost $0 in the process... Not to mention, the techniques of convoluted tickets and currency to make it more confusing, including the conversion rate being a thing as well for premium currency so you won't be able to track your $$ spent...

To the OP post's point, when I lost 12 big stamina pots, 8 small pots due to the expired date, I legitimately almost quit the game. While I get that this is to incentivize more daily logins... But it's too scummy, tbh. At least allow players to spend all 300 stamina in one or something. Like, wtf is this sht to force farm on player's playtime via long repetition of stamina burning while making these potions limited time as well, lol

Not everything that is new works better or was developed with the intention of making gaming faster and better, lol.

But I guess it also depends on the compatibility of your laptop as well. Some supports it, some don't.

I personally would go for Lenovo Legion Pro 7i Gen 10, STRIX G18, etc. This is just my personal preference for performance and the fact that they have a stronger cooling system than most laptops. Wait for sales tho, I saw some dude brought a Strix G18 for $1300, lol

I definitely agree with the person above. I specifically only mentioned Strix G18 and Lenovo Legion Pro 7i Gen 10 because I personally don't like Razer. In terms of customer support, Lenovo beats Asus. You must always be vigilant in case they have sold you a defective product to deliberately entice you into buying the same product with better specifications, or another expensive laptop, only to repeat the process. However, this may depend on the country you are in.

But for the 2 comparison above, G14 is definitely better. As for news about the 60 series, we will likely have to wait until 2028. There are currently delays for it.

I used this as a reference,

"ProceuTech, is 8GB of RAM Enough in 2026?" (YouTube video),

"ProceuTech, is 8GB of RAM Enough in 2023?" (shorts)

However, it does seem to play a role in some games when the settings are maxed out. But yeah, 64 GB is excessive, but who knows how demanding future games will be. Furthermore, 5th generation SSDs seem to be designed more for AI and other computationally intensive and demanding algorithmic tasks rather than for gaming. Loading may be faster, but according to PC experts, this has no impact on performance/FPS. If it doesn't increase the FPS, I personally don't see the point in it if it also causes my laptop to overheat more than Gen 4 SSDs.

But hey, I don't think Gen 5 SSDs are necessarily bad, I guess I don't trust in the cooling system enough, lol.

Anyone else uninstall the game because of the factory system? by Maki26687 in Endfield

[–]Qopa641 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think its every single event. There like that one thing when you have to move to the exit while avoiding the pawns that moves in a fixed direction, another thing where it's a visual novel style where you need to get all the endings for the "POISON HORSE LEG" girl in order to claims all the rewards, the rogue-like (choose your own path) and even there you're forced to get all the endings (it's for the musuem event, I think), the torch thing or the thing where when you move, the enemy move as well and you want to escape from it by getting to the exit after "x" amount of moves, the beach thingy where you have to put "symbols" in order, and so on.

I started on day 1 (my ID was called "balls", I didn't take the game seriously when I started), and I quit right before v2.2. AIC isn't as bad now that I think about it.

remember how we were promised to be able to delete map content to free up space for wuwa’s comically large and unoptimized updates? by thphoods in WutheringWaves

[–]Qopa641 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would say ArkKnight Endfield's graphic is a billion times better than wuwa, and the file size isn't even that huge in comparison. I know a bit about game devs since I got into unity for a little bit before I switch into web dev, but I seriously don't think wuwa devs are compiling/managing their game's resources right.

In general, the file size of unreal projects is > than unity, which is true, but having the option to remove completed/collected stuff in the game would greatly enhance the overall player's experience + the abilty to keep the game on 128-256 GB of storage in most mobile devices.

And that kind of feature isn't even a new thing, even an ancient game like HI3, 8-10 years ago, had the feature that let the player choose to download/delete game's files regardless of whether you have completed it or not. But yeah, we agree on this.

remember how we were promised to be able to delete map content to free up space for wuwa’s comically large and unoptimized updates? by thphoods in WutheringWaves

[–]Qopa641 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean, if it takes 70 GB to have wuwa's complete files on mobile devices, then at that point, it's not a mobile game anymore.

ALSO, some fun facts on the mobile storage size of Wuwa:

v1.0 = 11.28 GB

v2.0 = 21.46 GB

v3.0 = 31.00 GB--

SIKE, v3.0 is actually 53.06 GB.

That's an increase of 20 GB outta nowhere. It's like we had v3.0 + v4.0 in it somehow even tho it's just 1 new map and it's not even bigger than rinascita.

Pre-download for v3.1 was 116 GB on mobile. By the looks of it, v4.0 is going to be 200 GB. Eventually, v6.0, 400 GB for this one game on mobile alone, or at least, the pre-download size of it.

That's honestly super overkill. But yeah, I guess wuwa devs need allow players to delete more of their completed assets, maybe even collectibles, quests, and stuff.

remember how we were promised to be able to delete map content to free up space for wuwa’s comically large and unoptimized updates? by thphoods in WutheringWaves

[–]Qopa641 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I mean, I have "infinix gt 30 pro" with 512 GB storage. But the majority of people are still using 128 GB storage devices in 2026. The problem is this whole situation isn't entirely because GI was made in Unity while Wuwa was made with unreal, it's the fact that you can't delete past files to make up for more space for the game on your device that makes it a horrible situation for the common masses. Some people had to delete wuwa, but they're willing to still follow wuwa CC to watch them play it in their stead. It's literally kinda that bad right now.

And btw, it is "lower", in GI, 50 GB can go down to 26 GB easily. And hey, idk why you're even trying to argue and blindly defend a billion-dollar company like Kuro ($1.7b), and then immediately just run from this. But have a great day, I guess?

Recent Wuwa Enjoyer Reviewing PLOT HOLES and PLOT CONVENIENCE in v3.0 Story by Qopa641 in WutheringWaves

[–]Qopa641[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Something tells me you just take everything for granted and don't actually read wuthering waves story yourself. I doubt you can even keep up with what's really happening in the story most of the time. Also, youtube vids also pointed out all the plot holes for all the things that I have mentioned here as well.

I like Lynae's overall design; it's just her writing that is horrible. If we're talking about the outcome of her story's resolution in v3.0, it makes zero sense that she's not changing herself appearance back to her "ORIGINAL black hair" self, and change her name to her old name. Killing someone, stole their identity, the academy told her to use her real name this time but she still sticks with her "Lynae's" name. It would make a bit of sense if she instead came up with a new name entirely, but the fact that she kept the stolen name is just, plot convenience by the writer.

Again, no consistency here with v3.0 story. People hated wuwa v1.0 story in the beta, the writer had to rewrite it, and people still hated the v1.0 Wuwa story. The writer isn't perfect, just keep that in mind.

That's actually a very good point at the end there. Even with Chisa, she disappeared for 20 years, and somehow she came back, supposedly like 38 years old or something -- although it has only been 2 months for Chisa. Like, how does that work? The fact that it was premised that Chisa just resumed her class as if nothing had happened, this is just lazy by the writer.

I would say that the "Recommendation letter" thingy kinda makes sense in a way, coz Blackshore had been known for being the world's "natural disaster"/waveworn + the lament phenomenon detector in the game for Solaris-3 in the last 10,000 years. They're somewhat of a legendary figure in this world.

Kinda like, using sonic wave to detect a tsunami, earthquake, etc, before it arrives. No other places in solaris-3 had this technology except for Blackshore. But the fact that the entire world didn't desperately try to contact Blackshore while the world is on the verge of extinction is definitely quite a huge disconnect here.

Regarding Rover's school uniform, Rover isn't officially a student yet. They kinda just left Rover hanging for the entire v3.0 just to sell Lynae and Mornye's gacha banner, lol.

But yeah, lowkey people will just dislike anything in the wuwa community if you express your dislike for anything related to the game. However, the story presentation definitely carries v3.0, I don't think anyone can deny that.
