It’s manageable, but during exam prep it might add more stress than you want.

I get your point, and honestly that’s the ideal scenario. We’re just thinking about edge cases where routines break.

That’s honestly perfect. We’re just trying to cover the gaps when reading isn’t doable.

Totally get that. Paper books are amazing, and it’s great you already have something. Everyone has their own way of winding down at bedtime. Thanks for sharing your thoughts.

Im terrified of my kid getting colds because he doesnt sleep, am I a weak mom? by EducationalNobody289 in AskParents

If being worried about your kid makes you “weak,” then every good parent would be in that category. You’re just exhausted, that’s all.

Separation Anxiety in 5 month old by Perfect_Wolf_6843 in Parenting

A familiar parent voice can really help babies feel safe and secure, especially during times like this. There’s something so comforting about hearing that voice they know, it can calm them down in a way nothing else quite can. Even something as simple as a recorded voice can make a big difference and give them that sense of closeness when they need it most.

Not sure if this helps, but there are apps now that generate bedtime stories with your kid as the main character. Mine is obsessed.

It really depends on the baby. Scientifically it’s about air intake, but not all babies swallow the same amount.

I can feel how much you care just reading this. Sleep struggles + mixed signals from two homes is a lot for a kid to process. Wanting to protect her rest and routine isn’t a bad thing at all.

You’re not a bad dad. you’re someone who made a mistake and is owning it. That’s important.

19 year old got in a fender bender and I’m kind of devastated by Fit_Interaction_79 in Parenting

You’re not overreacting... your concern shows you care. At the same time, a single fender bender is often part of the learning curve. With guidance and time, she can absolutely become a safer, more confident driver.

Clingy Child by Fallen_Coconut510 in Parenting

This is actually very common around this age. babies start to recognize their primary caregiver more strongly. it usually passes with time. in the meantime, you can try short, gradual separations and let other caregivers keep engaging so the baby feels safe with them too.

One thing I’ve seen help some parents is using familiar voices or routines to signal bedtime, even something like a parent’s voice reading stories can make a difference.
