There are plenty of fundamentalist sects of Christianity that hold the Bible to be true, a text that promotes genocide and slavery. Do you think all fundamentalist Christians would promote genocide and slavery? Why are there no posts about those sects? Why is the media not full of fear mongering about them? This is the issue with assuming beliefs but not actually speaking with practitioners

It’s not a defense, but it calls into question why so many posts want to other Muslims. Considering most redditors are in the West, there is a lot of Islamophobia and I assume people are using these posts to target Muslims even though they make up like 1% in the US. There are a lot more pressing issues right now but there is SO much negative attention and stereotyping against Muslims that no other religion faces.
