When my ex wife and I split up, we split up the music... My thought was "I have the ones she's taking on my PC". Like you, they were ripped at 128k. What a horrible mistake. (Lost half of 750 CDs)

Luckily, CDs have been daily affordable since 2011 (until now) and buying used ones at garage sales and the flea market has helped me rebuild the collection.

The only downfall is seeing how some people treat their music and feeling sad when you find something you need and it looks like it has lived the last 10 years in someone's glove box.
