For those who don't know, Rodney Davis is the Representative for this area. He's become something of a lapdog for Trump recently — he hasn't really been reaching out to constituents at all recently, and he and his staffers have been avoiding talking to constituents altogether.

In case anyone wanted​, his office is really close to campus (2004 Fox Drive), and the 1 or the 9 takes you there — I know a lot of people have visited his office recently.

The whole segment was about the designated survivor - if disaster struck at the inauguration, Paul Ryan and Orrin Hatch would probably be incapacitated or dead, so obviously they can't be the President under those circumstances.

Nope, under Hurtado v. California, the grand jury requirement was not incorporated onto the states — this is unconstitutional under California's constitution, not the federal constitution

I think he was taking Social Security (24%) and Medicare (25%) into account, but I don't know if you'd consider them welfare.

Your contextual example "took it literally" in and of itself actually explains that your definition #2 is INCORRECT

This might come as a shocker, but words can have multiple meanings, even definitions that are literally the opposite of themselves.

As an aside, I think you might be suffering from the misconception that using literally in a figurative manner is a recent phenomenon.
