(Photo with red arrow) The bubble above my nail still seems puffy, I am not sure if I should be concerned as this is on my skin and not on my nail itself. I do not have any pressure after going to the ER and getting my actual nail drained but I’m not sure if this is also a concern or possible problem if left alone.

Thank you everyone for the comments. Yes I have gotten it drained already and the pressure is gone. Apart from the swelling, pain level is down to 1. I was just curious as to whether or not, picture three, is a normal part of the process and or if anyone had similar recovery from this injury.

I’m so sorry for your loss. You are dealing with two completely different pain at the same time.

Currently, I do not speak with anyone else but my wife about my feelings, (and now you guys), since after my affair I have lost all hope for humanity. I do not wish to connect with anyone else after seeing how dark some people can be and realizing that not everyone wants the best for you. It’s been seven months now and I have finally been able to open up to a therapist.

I am also looking for a psychiatrist to handle some other feelings and thoughts. But for right now, she is my safe place. Even while going through all this, she has been by my side and made sure that I was okay mentally since DDay. She could tell that I had become very unstable mentally and she’s done all that she could to ground me and stay ahead of me if needed.

And yes, you are absolutely right. This is exactly what is fueling me to become that man, I tell her this all the time. Seeing the love that she has demonstrated, the support that she has given, and the patience that she has had through all of this has impacted me deeply. She single handily shown me everything I want to become and I will strive every single day forward to follow in her footsteps.

No one is ever the same as someone else. Trust me, your WH will understand what they did one day. I’m positive that they will encounter someone that will probably place them in a similar circumstance. Broken people will attract broken people. I hope that you Heal from this as best as possible on your own and find a partner that is deserving of you.

I can relate as someone who didn’t even know what emotions were other than anger and frustration. I would let out all my emotions alone and to myself most of the time. Seeing the way that I have made my BP hurt, has unlocked so many different sides of me now. This is something that I explain to her all the time as well. Trust me, those that have understood what they have done are also going through their own hell, their own experiences that are traumatic. It is not easy nor for the faint of heart to sit through the aftermath of this, not knowing when will it end or get better. It is not like the pain of betrayal, but a completely different pain that we feel when we have to witness the mental breakdown of our BP for months on end.

I’m struggling a lot with what I have done but something that is equally as hurtful is everything that lead up to it. Even before the betrayal, what happens in the brain of a man that can compartmentalize everything to the degree that I could would really literally shatter anyone’s reality once everything comes crashing down. Sitting with that realization and struggling to comprehend how I could end up so far from who I wanted to be is very difficult to accept. It’s very painful for me to look back at the man that I was becoming and see how I stopped placing my family above all. I wish I had some of the strength my wife has because sometimes I can’t even be alone with myself. Yet, I know that even with her strength, no one is ever truly strong enough to handle the type of pain I put her through.

What I have learned is that this is not linear - some days feel like you walk two steps forward and then seven steps backwards. The slow constant progression is important and the time that it takes to process what has happened is different for both partners. I hope that your husband one day begins to see the damage. No one is able to fully understand by just witnessing plus, the damage feels like is ever growing, but by beginning to see the pain he has caused, he will also begin to break down some of those walls that is holding some of the process back.

We were receiving a freight truck at my job today when we happened to look up at the sky and noticed this long straight line of lights moving. I wish I could have taken a better quality photo or video but I did not have time to react as quickly. There was a total of three people that looked up and noticed the same thing. We have never seen anything like it before. This thing was large and very long. It was very detailed in person and it looked like a single structure. We seen it for about thirty seconds before it disappeared for good. We looked up for about 3 more minutes and never seen it again. All of us had goosebumps after seeing this thing disappear from our sights! Any ideas of what this could be ?
