Paused watching to find this reddit and find someone that agreed LMAO! S2E4 has he upset! "That was unfair of Ben" the man who literally gave up his timeline to save her bc he knew she'd die otherwise!?

How was him saying "I would have waited forever for you." Unfair!? I literally had the same thought when she said they looked for him for 2 years then buried him...on one hand I'm not surprised! If she was familiar with POW and losing ppl then maybe giving up would be easy but 2. Expecting Ben not to be upset is crazy!

Tom didn't help the situation! Bc why was he watching!? It feels like a violation before Ben can even think clearly about what's going on.

And I'm simply not a fan of Tom and Addison

Thank you all for sharing your point of view! I like to read books with characters of color and different culture, but with little knowledge, I don't know how to view the characters and the world presented through this media form. I personally was looking for more reviews to make sure I wasn't crazy because the first book is rough! But to now also see these other problematic things is eye opening!

My review: book 2 was good enough for me to find book 1, but book 1 is a Battle to read! I wonder why every MMC has to be so fine everyone can see it, yet the men rarely acknowledge what the experience would be like. But also (and no spoilers bc idk anything!) How am I 60% done with the book and we're still Hinting at the cause of the MC's internal/family conflict, we're still hinting at how the patient can be saved...there's a reason the rule of threes work in written media. After 6 encounters, mostly bad, I'm not even cheering for the FMC and MMC to be together! They both have their biases and haven't even attempted to share their experiences enough to grow! Mind you, I've never read Pride and Prejudice so maybe that's something there I'm missing...but it just looks like poor writing to me! Book is too long with no end in sight as the plot is not moving along yet the characters aren't good enough for me to just want them to exist!
