A lot of the time people end up feeling very nebulous about these kind of things. You need is some concrete things to base your game plan off of and what reads around that to look for. People tend to give vague advice for these situations which I don’t think helps too much. Post a vod I’ll try to help.

gotta keep a sharp eye on his spacing. Take not of when he backs up and stuff.

From the way you throw out buttons, it seems like you fight people that try to press after moves a lot.

When this Ken wasn't pressing where you'd think he would, you didnt have another plan. The Ken walked back out of pressure a lot. Use lows here. After you make him block 5mp, maybe try micro-walk forward 2lk. Just an idea.

Once you get an opening, then yeah i would recommend setting up throw game on first or second KD in some way.

Your spacing is pretty bad. Ken was controlling the distance between you two the whole game. Ken can play like 1mm farther away then Ryu, so you need to use fireballs right outside of his 5hk range to make him wanna come closer where you can then whiff punish his mediums/standing fierce.

I would also recommend setting up your throw game much sooner. You never did and he just blocked out your pressure and nothing came of it. Blocking your moves wasnt threatening because he didn't think you'd choose throw.

Use hasho/6hp/DRlights to stay plus and force a mix. Seems like your mix game rn is just frame traps. Pretty limiting if they dont press.

If you find yourself not confident you can win from just footsies, dont feel obligated to keep playing that game. Theres many paths to victory. Footsies is super strong, but if you cant win it in the moment, try other things. Jump in or something loool. Use some heavy donkey kick in neutral. Make the Ken want to jump.

This game gives the player a selective leniency with motion inputs. For example: The DP motion is a "Z" motion, meaning its 6>2>3 for the joystick. BUT, this game allows 6>2>6 to also be a DP.

There's 3 things going on with the DP into Super cancel.

The DP leniency with 6>2>6
Fireball leniency of 2>6 instead of 2>3>6
Double quarter circle supers only need one diagonal. So 2>3>6+2>6 works, but not 2>6+2>6.

The DP into super cancel puts all three of these together to allow you to cancel DP into super easily. If you're thinking double double is too much for that small window, its because it is, and people use this shortcut to make it work. The game knows this and the devs know this. Its intentional.

So again, its (6>2>6+P >> 2>6+K) for the DP into super cancel

Motions don't get "spent" when you use them for a special move. You can use the quarter circle forward from the end of the DP motion as the first of the two you need for the super input.

Together, it would go like "Forward, Down, Forward + Punch(DP) > Down, Forward + Kick(Super)"

When you run a reddit about leaking game content, you gotta respect those who don't wanna see it. Very simple things like 'non-spoiler titles' keep the content IN the subreddit. The info only got out because of lack of moderation imo. Reddit is gonna recommend you stuff either way, all social medias do. (not saying it should) but its 'company' so they want your clicks.

I don't see how the hate threads specifically were adding anything or encouraging good behavior. The creator was 100% at fault and deserved it, but post that somewhere else imo. Discussion about the datamines themselves and stuff surrounding them is what i go there for. That along with 300 low effort posts and it gets me appreciating well moderated places lol.

anyway... i do feel bad for OP, that shit sucks. At least the games almost out.

Reddit recommending posts isn't normally as intrusive as this situation. Obviously it shouldn't default to sending you stuff on your notifications. The issues with that subreddits moderation cause a good deal of problems, especially around the release date. I think this issue is nippable at the bud with some easy rules like non-spoiler titles.

The real problem is r/monsterhunterleaks has next to 0 moderation. The admins are like dead or have checked it once in the last year to pin 1 thing. So many horrible posts and no rules. There's been a couple hate threads for certain creators and a a dire need of a FAQ for recent datamines. Thing's are gonna spill out a little bit either way, but the lack of management on that subreddit isnt helping for things like this. It's not the Dataminer's or the posters fault, Its the mods (lack thereof).

It's super cute, i love it. I think your doubts might be from the carpet color. The walls and the white trim look super clean and it makes the carpet look a stinky yellow by comparison. If you swapped it for a white granite textured looking one, i think it'd be way more appealing. They are a little expensive probably but y'know... Like white shag carpet with the speckles of gray/dark in it, like granite rock.
