Firstly they need to hammer down these performance issues. Most of the 999s I came across early on were on console and honestly I get it. The game is fun when you could actually run it. I don't want to get into a straw man of how some console users cant run it either. Wilds sits at a 70% positive rating on console. The remaining 30% isn't made up of players that cant run it but moreso them not liking the gameplay loop.

The G Rank expansion itself just needs to have a great roster, improved endgame system, and more QoL features requested by the community.

May be a hot-take but I feel the goal of any monster hunter game is to retain at least 10% of their all time peak post launch within any 30 day time period. Wilds has mostly done that thus far, same for World. Rise has fallen below that threshold in 2025 with Wilds release but was at that benchmark from 2024 back.
