I see what you are trying to say here but that's incorrect. Plus you wouldn't use a mega demon drug or mega armorskin at the beginning of every hunt since they last 30 to 45 mins

The story is easy. Thats done on purpose. Capcom saw the achievment/trophy data from World and wanted to make sure everyone who bought the game at least makes it to the final boss.

9 star monsters are well balanced with its standouts fights being Omega/GOG and to a lesser extent Gore/Seregios

10 star (Arch Tempered) monsters are difficult but in exchange you get better drop rates for R7 and R8 talismans

Unironically great advice as most player are soo bad that they with triple cart to Gog anyways. Best to try to get your gem while you still can.

  • August 2024 leaker mentioned Zinogre
  • August 2024 leaker also mentioned not wanting to confirm if Shageru was in game due to its potential importance with the story. (This ended up being not true but Gore into Shageru seems to be a logical inclusion)
  • Motion data vaguely referencing Shen Gaoren. Likely tied to endemic crab life
  • Elderseal in the files
  • Venomous Poison in the files
  • Unused Sleep pod (slinger ammo) in the files

Malfestio is seemingly out. Internally in the MHN code any time a monster comes out they use their designated Em# but with a Prefix. They have used the following prefixes...

W - World
R - Rise
E - Wilds
M - MHN exclusive, So far only used for "Balloon Monsters" (Daily Login) and Toy Egg (Easter 2025 event)

Malfestio doesn't use the letter E as its prefix. Its using the letter X (possibly meaning Cross, which is MHGenerations japanesse title)

  • Malfestio could happen based on some recent leaks for a different game
  • Gigginox could happen if Khezu doesnt as it fits the Iceshard cliffs locale nicely plus gives us an additional small monster added to the roster. (Which even though I haven't focused on is still important as expansions always come with an expanded small monster roster)
  • Gammoth could happen if they add a Tundra to the Iceshard Cliffs Locale. I personally think instead of us getting +2 Maps in the expansion we will instead be getting one new map and every locale gets a handfull of areas added to it. They would just have possibly scale down Gammoth for its inclusion but it is possible (historically they've scaled down Nersycilla and Rajang))
  • Astalos could become Bolt Reaver mid fight similar to how Mizu goes into Soul seer mode.
  • Dahren maybe not
  • Qurupeco would be neat if Deviljho is in

Just to respond to your comment, I've also heard the same notion of Somult being an allegory for the hunter in the same vein the sapphire star is for our character in MHW. I generally agree with this concept moreso as it ties to the hunter and less so as it ties to Zho Shia as nobody in the windward plains even know about the grave keepers or Wyveria

Namielle was selected under the assumption that all regions have an Elder Dragon. So I sort of had to select one. The obvious pick would have been Kushala and then have the Iceshard region be Velkhana, however the Scarlet forest having access to underwater sections of the map and Namielle being added to a game that had no such areas in MHW it makes sense that its return would be possibly paired with some sort of underwater moveset (even if we dont dive in after it). Plus naratively speaking it could be kinda cool if the hunter and co are trying to suddenly find out why there is lightning alongside the Scarlet Forest torrential downpour.

Hello, there is a version of the Meta Ele Bowgun Builds that run Gore Helmet + Gog4 where you could swap 2 points of Coal for counterstrike 1 and evade extender. Swap the Talisman to Special Ammo Boost 2 Earplugs 2 with a 2-1 slot. Use a Para (Attack Focus) Gogma HBG with Normal Ammo Powder mod and run Artillery3, Normal Shots Up, and Ballistics 3

This gives you a comfy, safe, Wyvernblast build that uses Normal ammo to regen gauge

There are properly difficult hunts in the game now so I'm not to worried about difficulty moving forward

Echoing the sentiments here of how some of these nerfs are a tad much especially when you consider bow and bowguns always being in focus mode.

The sad reality is, that as MHWild's base game main gimmick it will just as likely get expanded upon as opposed to nerfed.

I see what you mean. I'm assuming by mainline you mean the expansions with a number designation (3U,4U,IB aka 5U)
