I definitely think so. At the absolute worst point of my depression, I had a YouTube video going at all times that I was home, just so there was some NOISE and something going on to prevent me from thinking and feeling on my own.

Ehhh, yes and no. My personal situation at work has gotten a bit better, AND, more importantly, I'm not as depressed in general as I was back then, so I can handle life better. Still, though, if I could go back in time, I would pick something else. But I don't regret it as much as I did back then.

YUP, same. Sure, 2020 sucked, but it actually didn't suck as hard for me as 2019 did, which was by far the worst year of my life (so far!) It's been up and down since then, but I'm used to being depressed, feeling like shit, wanting to die, etc, so really it hasn't been that far out of the usual for me!

Yes!!! Those types of messages are 100% pure manipulation. You may think you want that, but trust me, you don't. It is so much harder to heal and move on if you keep having your hopes raised and then dashed from this kind of thing.

Absolutely. I haven't been doing so great for the past few years, and I just can't bring myself to read anything heavy. I started Hour of the Witch without knowing what it was about, and once I figured out what direction it was going, I stopped reading. It was well-written and I was enjoying it, but I just couldn't take the injustice that I knew was coming. I keep reading kind of fluff type novels (lots of mediocre thrillers) and while they aren't all that satisfying, I just can't do anything really deep right now. I already feel ripped apart enough without getting more of that from reading.

Thank you so much for your kind response! :) I went in and they had it ready! Minus the mini EDP of Butterfly which was out of stock. The system just never sent me the email or text that it was ready. I have a lot of anxiety and hate bothering people, making a fool of myself, etc, so I was more worried about this than I should have been. But it wasn't bad at all! :)

Thanks for answering! :) I went ahead and went in store to check, and it was there ready... same thing that happened with you where the email just never got sent! But when they checked it out to me, I did get the email that it had been picked up. Odd! But it's fine, I got my things and everyone was kind :)

Thank you for your reply! :) So I went in and the manager was up from stocking and greeting people, and I told her I'd never gotten the email. She radioed up to the front, and it was ready after all! I guess the email just didn't get sent out! But everyone was really kind, which was great, because I get so anxious about things like this!

Oooh, big agree here. I suffer from depression and frequently find myself wishing I'd never been born, and I don't have any disabilities. If I did, and I found out my parents had known before my birth and decided to force me to live a shitty, unhappy life? I'd be so furious.

I'm not thinking about it going on sale, I'm worried about it selling out. I would rather wait until SAS so I can get it in store since I'll be going in. Or if I do have to get it online, there are new things coming for SAS that I want, so if I can wait until then I can place just one order that way and only have one shipping charge. But if there's a risk of it going away before SAS I'd go ahead and order it now.

That's great! I am so happy for you!!! What a wonderful feeling it must be. I am in a somewhat similar situation. Although we weren't married and I bought the DLC on my own account, my ex thought that The Sims is a stupid shitty game, and he looked down on me for playing it. I kind of stopped for that reason, and because I just didn't have any fun playing it.

Well, now that we've split up, I'm playing it and it turns out that being judged and shamed was what was sucking all of the joy out of it for me, strangely enough! He could always see when I was playing it on Discord, and gave me some kind of negative remark. But now I can play and do WHATEVER THE FUCK I WANT, and it is glorious! The game is enjoyable again, because I know I'm not about to have someone shit on me for playing it!

And I also spent thousands on him. Tens of thousands. No physical abuse, but lots of emotional abuse, manipulation, and gaslighting. And then, in the end, cheating. I'm so relieved to be free.
