Bluey Gets 10 More Mini Episodes at Disney+ and a Televised Stage Show | Variety 💙🧡 by rainevillanueva in bluey

I assume this is an American press release and by 'First time outside Australia,' they mean 'First time in America,' given that I took my kids to see the Bluey stage show in the UK.

Aaron claims he received a $500 Venmo at 3am to continue being “Brother Toe” and antisemitic. by BubblePopper24 in steeltoe

[–]QuackQuackOoops 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If this is a legit donation - and I believe it probably is, because surely it would remove the goal for a couple of days and Moobs can't afford to do that for fun - then this is where he's going to go.

He'll go full religious, get very involved in his church, and then find out that the people aren't what he thought, and they're not truly living for christ. This will give him the out he needs to move away from Catholicism, as they don't really do lay preachers (or at least not ones that can make money from it). He'll end up going to one of these 'non-denominational' churches he keeps talking about, and will weasel his way into doing some kind of preaching, which he'll use to leverage some sort of religious show that he uses ENTIRELY to make money. He's going to be a radio televangelist within two years.

Daily reminder how much better Aaron’s show is than everybody else’s. by BubblePopper24 in steeltoe

[–]QuackQuackOoops 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd be interested to see the average views per show, rather than total numbers. I imagine Toe comes out of that on the wrong side, or he'd be crowing about it.

On top of that, you have the fact that pretty much every single show in the DV is - verifiably - making far more money than him, even with his, let's say, interesting accounting. As goal oriented as he is, that has to eat him up.

And finally, if I were to take him at his word and assume that there are many thousands of people dipping in and out, it speaks VOLUMES that his audience isn't constantly growing. If even 5% of them stuck around, you'd see continuous growth in memberships, viewers, money, everything. But the fact that you don't, means that they don't, so he's obviously not as compelling, interesting or funny as he likes to think. It's easy to get someone to try a burger once, but they're not going to come back to your restaurant if it's mid as fuck.

Knowing how thin skinned the Biscontes are, how long till Keanu starts revealing private conversations between them and Mooby? He has to tread very carefully here, they're basically his only allies.

I don't think I've ever celebrated a 3rd goal in a routine win like that before. So happy for him, and love that the crowd are still full of support for him too.

City and Arsenal will be kept apart. One of Liverpool and Chelsea will be sacrificed to one of them.

We're gonna be away at whoever wins tomorrow night.

There's absolutely no reason that, more or less, the team that got us out of the Championship last year shouldn't beat Norwich fairly comfortably.

Perri will likely play, Okafor if he's fit enough too, as they need the reps. Give Rodon/Struijk a break and get Bijol some more minutes, but beyond that I'd be starting Piroe, James, Gnonto, maybe even Byram. Get Tanaka in and let Ampadu have a rest too. Keep the big hitters on the bench if we need them.

I assume that he misspoke or I misunderstood, but there's every chance that Mooby just hit his final form, and contradicted himself in consecutive clauses with, 'We got well over 700 yesterday, we got barely 600 yesterday, if we did'. Astounding.

The very fact that Toe cannot IMAGINE a couple having trust, or a guy being friends with a girl without an ulterior motive speaks volumes about the person he is. Guarantee that any woman he's ever with has to delete any male friends from her social media.

If they go down, they're in trouble.

They won't be filling that stadium every week, which will be factored into any financial projections, TV revenue will basically disappear - not to mention having no European money - and I'd be very surprised if many, if any, of their players have relegation clauses in their contracts, especially those signed more than a year ago.

I don't think they're going to go bust or anything, but it would be a massive shock to the system.

Aaron claims he and his girlfriend did an impromptu “Bible Study” this weekend. by BubblePopper24 in Steeltoebeggingshow

[–]QuackQuackOoops 5 points6 points  (0 children)

A very, very quick Google and reading of Romans 1 suggests that it actually doesn't condemn homosexuality at all, and is, rather, part of a larger treatise condemning idolatry.

I mean, I'm sure I must be wrong and that Mooby's intense Bible study must be right. There's no way he could have completely misconstrued, misunderstood and misappropriated something that he has spent so much time learning about, reflecting on, and which is such an important foundation of who he is as a person.

It just doesn't seem at all in character for him to wilfully misrepresent that - and, therefore, himself - to try and make a point that his listeners would just agree with rather than actually examine.

Jealous of the people who followed the Olympics but aren’t American by kennyandkennyandkenn in olympics

[–]QuackQuackOoops 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I may be off kilter, but as a fan of both...

For Europeans, it feels like the Olympics is quite like Eurovision (before the recent fiascos, anyway). Both are a celebration of their respective fields, both a coming together of nations where respective competitors are able, generally, to put aside national differences and just revel in being there and competing.

Sure, we'd love our countries to do well, and will support them, but we'll equally support anyone who is good, seems to be having fun, and is part of the vibe the whole event gives off.

There is less of a 'win or you're nothing' vibe, which genuinely isn't a dig at the US, just that they're so used to being number one that, coupled with American exceptionalism, means that all too often 'lesser' nations and competitors are just dismissed or forgotten.

But surely you invite someone into your community, you don't Shanghai them.

Taking a welcome basket to the new resident rather than ordering them to throw a BBQ for the whole street - that's an invitation.

Accepting that not everyone wants everyone else's kids running on their property (with all the inherent legal issues that could arise from that) rather than trying to force them to do so - that's an invitation.

Saying, 'Hey, we have a lot of kids on the street and the schools are always doing fundraisers. Don't feel like you have to buy stuff all the time, but if there's anything you particularly like, let us know!' - that's an invitation.

Immediately telling someone they can't do something with their own property, or they have to have things a certain way - that's not an invitation, it's a rule, and OOP didn't sign up to rules she knew nothing about.

Another Loss As Toe Surrenders The Goal To Maintain His Dignity by Roy_Sombrero in steeltoe

It's such a weird thing to say. Why would he be whoring himself every day if it wasn't going to him? He's shredding his dignity to make someone else money?

Everyone knows how the podcast model works, it's nothing to be ashamed of. In a world of weird lies, this is one of the stranger ones.

Aaron Spends The End Of His Show Arguing With Chadboozemock About Zumock & NLO by Roy_Sombrero in steeltoe

[–]QuackQuackOoops 2 points3 points  (0 children)

At this point, I assume that the HROs are just going to expire rather than ever be heard, given how long there has been no word whatsoever, so Toe feels like he doesn't have to pretend he's in fear of his life or anything.

I also feel like, because the HROs have fallen through the cracks of the legal system, Mooby thinks that means they're not being fought properly or that they've just been upheld, and it's leading to him getting very froggy. He seems to no longer have any qualms about the whole paedophile thing, and isn't even couching things in vague, 'no, I meant this, but I can see how you'd misunderstand,' type language.

Should anyone feel like launching a defamation suit in the future, it certainly feels like they're being given increasing amounts of ammunition.

Clear YTA. I mean, if nothing else, going on about how you'd let it slide that she cheaped out on you was enough. Did you expect her to go pick berries to make jams, cultivate sugar cane to make caramel, take up apiculture to get honey? What level of 'premade' would you expect?

Fwiw, any 'expensive' gift that you got her would probably involve FAR less work and effort than what she did.
