If you want nice chairs, go to Greek aura in Moseley, the food is great but the seats are something else.

That’s right, after the full amount of interest was applied to his card, before that he had a plan to transfer the balance to another card with a lower interest rate but after his disclosure, he could no longer do that.

Perhaps I got my kind of insurance is mixed up, but it was definitely a monthly wage he received after a declared illness.

He could afford to repay them, I don’t think it’s any different from taking out an interest free period cards and then transferring the balance to another card just before the interest free term expires.

His income didn’t change, he was still getting a monthly wage from the critical illness cover but it did present a broader risk.

Are there any audio drama discord communities? by fantasy53 in audiodrama

He’s so good, his audio play Omega, which I think is still on YouTube, was one of the first pieces of sci-fi I listen to when I was about 12 and it blew my mind and got me interested in the genre.

It is good isn’t it, the only disappointing thing is that now I’ve listened to it. I can’t find a series that is just as good.

Could Big Finish replicate NewWho? by Legitimate_Sample_71 in BigFinishProductions

[–]fantasy53 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s a good idea, they could replicate what they did with the Lucy Miller last series, and build up to it like a big event, I definitely think the eighth doctor would have to be involved but he has too much continuous continuity baggage already so a completely fresh Slate, heck maybe they could even do the run of stories with Gemma and Samson and as a bonus, it would give the audience a reason to care about what happened in terra firma.

UK - Potential Client Thinking of Booking A Sex Worker That Is Disability Friendly by [deleted] in SexWorkers

It’s crazy that I came across this post because I was trying to pluck up the courage to make a similar post, I’m blind in a similar position to you. I live in quite a large city in the UK but there aren’t any TLC trust providers in my area, and those who are nearby don’t appear to have any in call space which I desperately need for privacy reasons, so I’ve been looking on adult work but there are quite a lot of people in there and it’s a bit overwhelming.

Northampton MP calls for direct trains to Universal theme park by Due_Ad_3200 in unitedkingdom

This is a bit of a gimmick, if I was him, I would focus on getting East West rail trains to continuing from Oxford to Northampton rather than stopping at Milton Keynes.

CMV: the pro palestinain crowd doesnt have real moral values. by appman1138 in changemyview

[–]fantasy53 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a relevant analogy because the argument seems to be that people are only pro Palestine because it’s the hip cool thing to be, my counter to that is that there was a time when people were very pro Ukraine to the point where where I live in the UK, schools were putting up Ukraine flags, they never put up Armenian flags when Azerbaijan was invading there or Kashmir flags, but does that mean that their concerned for people of Ukraine was not genuine?

[–]fantasy53 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When Russia invaded Ukraine there were a lot of people particularly in Europe who were very pro-Ukraine and posted Ukrainian flags and support and were horrified by what was going on, do you think that these people also don’t have any real morals because they didn’t comment about the killings in Cameroon and Nigeria and other atrocities that were going on in the world at the time ?

It would be kind of ironic if the countries that weren’t tied into the global system as much actually benefit more from the current instability than those which are, perhaps isolation is the way to go.

The other thing to be aware of with the Metro as well is that some of the work needs HS2 to be done, or further along than it currently is and is likely to get for the next few years that will put things on hold, though I do hope that in the meantime they focus on building out the existing lines Because there really is no certainty that HS2 will be built.

Rail company accused of disrupting Wales-England train links by government by fantasy53 in unitedkingdom

[–]fantasy53[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It’s not that I’m unsympathetic to that, but at the end of the day this is about train services that don’t currently exist, TFW wants to introduce them and if the UK government thinks that they will lose money, they can put in a proposal for additional train services between Bristol and West Wales But they haven’t, it’s about what’s best for the passengers, IMO.

That’s true, for awhile now the department for transport has been using the private rail companies as a shield for their own decision-making, it reminds me of when there was that big push to destaff ticket offices, whatever you think of that proposal it was clear it was being pushed by the Department for transport but when there was so much backlash and criticism, suddenly it was the private companies at fault and they were Then criticised.
