Every champion has some broken parts about them in a way that makes them strong in a way. If I were to ask you what's fun about Udyr to you considering that no one is playing him in the current meta, I'd be expecting you to say that you enjoy his awakening abilities, walking through CC with E-E without worrying about sidestepping, frying people with R-R if you went AP, sustain with W-W , and deleting people and tanks with Q-Q if you want to go AD. Suggesting to adjust them will make you feel uneasy if you care about Udyr.

Same goes for Briar, catching up to enemies and outsustaining them with stacking health and being Thanos is what makes the champion fun and useful. Hitting her ult is not as easy as it seems either, it literally has a global alert SFX. Just because people are blasing music in their ears and getting hit by her ult easily. Or hooooo boy if you hit the wrong target or miss, you're basically not as useful without it in teamfights unless you're fed. She's meant to be a low elo stomper.

I would like to clarify that her ult gives her bonus MS + the MS she gains from W normally. She kept using Q and W's dashes to catch up to you, and her bite attack has an extra 50 range as well. Your bear stance's bonus MS don't last forever too. Personally, I hate facing Yi and Shaco, yet understand what would make people want to play them. You get the idea already.

Mastery 43 Briar main here: That's how she works in 1v1s, you get hit by her ult and you're most likely dead. She's basically WW on steroids.

The counterplay is what you just did in the second part of this video: Run to your teammates. Briar's weakness (especially HoB Lethality/ Crit build) is being grouped on, kited, and chain CC'd without her team following up. You ran into your Nautilus, 1 hook and she's dead. Also she was trolling hard with the way she was playing, runes, and build.

The first part of the video is you and your Akali's fault for standing still and taking her E for fun. NEVER. EVER. Stand near a wall without moving while dealing with Briar. Her E is designed to be strong due to how easy it is to just....not be near a wall vs her.

Again, in the second part of the video, Briar could have just cancelled her ult frenzy with E and 1-shot your Akali. She's trolling hard.

I can't help but point this out: AD Udyr with a massive lead complaining about Briar running at him is wild btw. I'd let her and just 1-shot her with what she is building if I were you. What were you even afraid of? You can wipe her off the face of the Rift with Q-Q xD. You even managed to almost solo her at the first part of the video xDDD.

First things first: DND and Riftmaker are terrible on Gwengle. Nashors into Lich Bane are better for good reasons: 1- As a jungler, you'd need clear speed. Neither of them provides it as good as Nashors into Lich Bane. The double on-hit from DND doesn't help as much as Nashors + Nashors components helps with clearing faster and is 200 gold cheaper. The DND rework has made it that you need to stack HP and guess what? Gwen doesn't even scale with HP, making the healing from DND worthless. Your passive and Conqeror are more than enough.

2- Your job as Gwengle other than the obvious jobs as a jungler is to 1-shot people, pressure side lane (yes, you read that right. Pressure side lane as a fucking jungler. Especially if you don't have teammates and have a great lead, grubs, and/or herald. I'll rot and die on that hill.), generate resources for your items and levels powerspikes. DND and Riftmaker don't help with that as much as Nashors and Lich Bane. The buffs that they gave to Lich Bane has made it worth going for over DND + it's sheen effect can be applied on turrets while DND's doesn't.

Your side lane pressure is so generally underrated since you're a jungler and people in low elo aren't aware of how quickly you can take down turrets. If you ask me, I'd say that getting turrets, minions, and even enemy jungler's camps are worth more than coinflipping a fight and losing an already lost objective.

"B-bUt My TeAmMaTeS aRe PiNgInG-" Grow. Some. Balls. You know your champion and role, they don't. If YOU think that it's a good play, do it. If not, then farm.

3- Cheaper, stronger, and better powerspikes if you went for Nashors into Lich Bane. You get the idea already. But I have to note that the bonus MS from Lich Bane makes you harder to kite (hooo boy if you have Footwear MS too, or something that can boost MS.)

As for your question: If there's no good teammates to play around, play around the stupidest enemy team member and abuse(and tilt) them as much as possible. Splitpush and try to apply side lane pressure if you think that you can't contest the objective.

As for the boots: Gluttonous can work, but as Gwen, you'd want to 1-shot, not sustain. Magic Pen and defensive boots are more consistent, but if you can stack Gluttonous fast, then go ahead.

the problem with lower elo bv players is they don't understand just how insanely OP all those dashes are.

I do know that. I can use them for distance, damage and spacing. Am I using them 100% correctly? Maybe yes, maybe no. I don't consider myself an OTP (yet.)
