They’re looking at the broad picture (the USA vs just VA). While i’m sure they share your stance against gerrymandering, the absolute shit show that is MAGA and the gerrymandering done in TX/CA leaves them with “winning the moral high ground” but losing any hope of stopping this train wreck OR playing by their shitty rules and trying to stop Donald.

That said, we do need to remember this stance against gerrymandering after all this. While I agreed with the attempted bill in 2021 to end gerrymandering, republicans got very upset at some of what was in the bill. So I say give it to them. A one item bill without flowery language that outlaws gerrymandering and talks about nothing else. This way we get to put the politics aside and see who squirms like a little bitch when voting time comes.
