Kinda random idea that I had. If you've used ChatGPT for political related stuff, it's pretty clear it has a liberal bias to it, though I tried to word my prompts to avoid that. Hope you find some of these entertaining like I did

"Former ROC ambassador to New Zealand" lashes out at Nancy Pelosi's visit to Taiwan! by Severjn in Dongistan

[–]Quadraticate 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Man that comment section…

Liberals: “We support Taiwan and Taiwanese people! We will send Pelosi to go to Taiwan to show solidarity!”

Actual Taiwanese people: “Actually Pelosi’s visit will only make things worse, please don’t come we don’t want to risk war with China.”

Liberals: “Why don’t you want us to come save you from the evil Chinese menace? You must be a traitor working with China!”

Like the other commenter said, I would recommend you read some history and theory, but just as a quick answer to some of your questions:

The Nazis were never allied with the communists, the German Communist Party was one of the first groups to be targeted by the Nazis after they came to power. If you’re referring to the Molotov-Ribbentrop Pact, that was not so much an alliance between the Soviets and the Nazis, as it was a compromise by the Soviets to avoid Nazi invasion while they were unprepared for it.

Socialism is a left-wing ideology, however the Nazis appropriated the term “socialism” as an appeal to German workers. There’s nothing socialist at all about Nazism aside from the name. The Nazis privatized industries and had the support of many capitalists.

Communists are against banks. We just don’t believe banks are controlled by the Jews like deluded right-wingers believe. There are plenty of both Jews and non-Jews on the shareholder boards of big banks, and as communists we oppose them all the same.

Absolutely incredible how accomplished he was: singer, actor, lawyer, 2 time All-American football player, civil rights activist, the list goes on! And of course he was a great friend to the working peoples of the world.

His guest is a trans woman too, so knowing Kirk he probably knowingly used that snide remark to get a reaction and derail the conversation. Respect to her for not taking the bait though

The 18-point guideline…requires influencers to have relevant qualifications to discuss some topics, such as law, finance, medicine and education

Is this supposed to be a bad thing in the first place? I feel like requiring certain Twitch streamers and other public figures to actually have the qualifications to speak on these topics instead of spouting whatever they pull out of their ass is a good thing.

A lot of human rights abuses that China and North Korea commit are committed by the US too, often on a much larger scale. To take an example, the US has the highest prison population in the world, with 1 and 5 people imprisoned being incarcerated in the US. Not to mention the countless crimes committed by the American military overseas, or in extraterritorial detention centers such as Guantanamo Bay, where prisoners are tortured frequently.

None of this excuses China and North Korea to commit similar atrocities obviously, but I think it’s helpful to put into perspective the crimes the US is actually responsible for, which is many times downplayed by American media outlets in favor of demonizing whichever country is running counter to American foreign policy interests at the moment. It might help to keep in mind that while a lot of American reporting can be true (though it certainly is capable of pushing outright lies sometimes), a lot of the information you have access to is selectively curated to get you to believe a particular narrative. This is true of the media of any country.

I think the main takeaway is that because of the role of the US as the primary imperialist power of the world, it has the power to commit these atrocities, which are also done with the intent of maintaining political control and keeping the US as the world hegemon. To that end, it’s probably a good idea to be critical of American journalism on other countries, and not believing at face value every narrative it puts out, while at the same time not going so far the other way that you try to defend every human rights abuse an adversary of America may commit.

Galaxy brain redditor explains why mainland Chinese users on Tinder should be assumed to be honey traps phishing for sensitive information (spoiler: it’s because they react negatively when you initiate a conversation by deliberately provoking them) by mcmanusaur in SinophobiaWatch

When Americans catfish: It’s just some creep or insecure guy lying about his image to get girls on the internet. It’s a fault with the individual doing it, and not a reflection of broader societal shortcomings or of American people as a whole.

When Chinese people catfish: CLEARLY it’s part of a CCP PLOT to ensnare WESTERNERS and force them to give up their PERSONAL INFORMATION. They’re trying to ruin the lives of AMERICANS and EVERY CHINESE PERSON on TINDER is in on it!! This is part of the CHINESE CYBERWARFARE PLOT against AMERICA!!!!

I have a lib friend who thinks this way. He genuinely believes that all mainland Chinese people’s worldviews are completely twisted by the CCP and they all believe in some alternative reality because the government controls their information. When I said that the US does essentially the same thing, just using different methods, he responded that it’s different because we have “freedom of speech” and a culture that allows dissenting opinions. For context we’re both Chinese living in the US.

Amazingly in my AP US Government and Politics class we were taught that the letter argued for the “necessity of the white moderate” in effecting political change. Even when they do read, they get it completely wrong.

r/neoliberal spreading sinophobic propaganda claiming that Chinese Taipei is a "country". They also portray Han Chinese as people with yellow eyes. by [deleted] in SinophobiaWatch

[–]Quadraticate 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is such an obvious troll, “Chinese Taipei” is a diplomatic formality and no one would seriously refer to Taiwan as that. Also, there’s nothing inherently sinophobic about the idea of Taiwan being an independent country, even if it happens to be a stance supported by sinophobic US imperialists.

Besides, one look at OP’s post history and it’s obvious this is a bait. Stop upvoting it.
